It's been a few weeks since I deleted my Banana Blaze diary (tossed them) or contributed to this one. I was having so much trouble getting my humidity levels to a proper veg percentage. And was experiencing deficiencies as well as slow growth.
To fix that I converted my 2x4 tent into a sort of humidity box. I opened 1 passive intake and ran the intake fan for the 3x3 as an exhaust in the 2x4 with a short length of ducting between them. I've also placed an oscillating 16 inch fan in there to keep the floor dry and to keep any mold from settling. Last and certainly not least I put my newest best humidifier in there on an upside down 5 gal bucket right in the center pointed at the fan. Luckily it also has a built in humidistat. So I set it at 65 and it keeps levels from dropping below 55% (unless I open the tent for an extended period). The humidifier also has a sleep mode with no lights, so the 2x4 tent will also be my new drying space, and serves two purposes. I think in the near future, I will be picking up one of Gorilla Grow Tents shorty 5x5 tents. So I have space for 6 to 8 plants as well as the necessary accessories (humidifier, heater, decent sized fan).
Anyway... it's all seemed to have worked and though, they aren't as big as I would like. I'm sick of veg. I aggressively lollipopped them and took 3 hrs of light away Tuesday and 3 more yesterday and I'm excited to say it's fucking flower time! These strains both take 9-10 weeks to flower, so they will have equal flower and veg time and come down in 20 weeks. Patience is my only option and I'm pumped to watch them flower. I'm sorry if you were following along. I just wanted to focus on what matters and that's growing happy healthy plants. It didn't seem like too many people really check these things, let alone read my ramblings. To be honest I might just finish this diary so my conscience doesn't get the better of me for leaving the first High Caliber genetics grow on this site unfinished. This all seems like a lot of work on my part to promote somebody else's business. Thanks for checking in, happy growing!
