As it says in the title, this may or may not be Buddha Syrup. The seed came from a Buddha assortment pack, so all we can be sure of it comes from Buddha seeds.
A friend just grew a seed from this pack with stellar results, so thought I'd try my luck. His methods are way different from mine, this will be a full on organic grow, with Bio Bizz nutes in soil. If I get results half as good as his, I'll be over the moon 😂.
Here's hoping for tasty buds 😀
Forgot to take a photo in the paper towel, so you'll have to use your imagination 😉
Update: 3 days on and she's still a no show above soil. I'm a little concerned as I didn't bury her that deep, going to give her a couple more days.
Update: 5 days on and starting to get worried. I've got a bad feeling about this one, I have another mystery seed so all is not lost. Going to be putting that one in a paper towel when I finish up here. I'll give this one a day or two before I close this diary.
The day or two are up, and she's a no show.
I have a fresh mystery just sprouted, (with photo to prove it this time). Just popped her in soil, let's keep fingers crossed for she's a grower 😀
Update: mystery No. 2 is a grower, she should have her head up by tomorrow 😀, now we've just got to hope this soil isn't too hot for her.
Update: 24hrs later she's up and looking great, no signs of complaint (yet) she's already the tallest in the tent 😂, so the change in lighting's doing something 😀
Update: She's loving it so far, already twice as tall as anything else in the tent. She might even be a bit too tall, I'll leave it a day or so and see if I can up the light level a bit. Watch this space.
Update: Switched on both the lights in tent, now 30w LED, no signs of issue. Think I have a happy plant 😀
For a while there I didn't think this diary was going to make it out of the germination stage.
She's started with good strong and healthy growth, let's hope it continues 😃
This little one is cruising along.
Not gained much height, but the leaves are developing nicely.
Looks like I've got the light levels and watering sorted out for the time being. Still got 7 weeks or so to upset her 😃
Fed with half recommended dose of Bio Bizz Root Juice at the beginning of week. Plain ph'd water the second time.
Update: The new year's looking good for this one. Happy and healthy thus far. Dobby "the house cat" and boss of this operation approves.
Pleased with the progress on this one.
Looks like her first set of leaves are coming on, not managed to upset her yet. Still plenty of time for that yet😃
Update 6/1: I spoke too soon 😂😂😂. She is showing signs of discontent. It's mild and isn't too clear in the photos, but the tips of her lower leaves have gone slightly
brown and textured. Not sure what's caused it, she's not been fed anything, and I'd have thought hot soil would have shown up sooner.
Her displeasure has encouraged me to do something about the temps in the tent. They're a bit on the low side, and have been concerning me. So I've put a
seedling incubator in the tent, temps are up to 21.5c with lights on (up from 18c). This should give me 19c with lights off (up from 16c) much better. 😁
Not sure if the temp is her issue, but she is the one closest to the intake and being slightly warmer isn't going to hurt any.
Update 7/1: After a 24hr test my grow/flower tent is sitting at a barmy 24c with lights on, so I've moved her in there. Hope she copes with the change........
Hey all so I've been neglecting my plants and diary for the last couple of weeks. Alas RL stuff getting in the way, but lets get this up to date.
First of this girl is in CBG Automix soil. I will not be using it again as I have had issues with it, and lets face it I need no assistance giving my plants issues. 😂
First off this plant and another in this soil have both needed weeding!!! I'm sure this shouldn't happen with bought soil. Secondly I've been forced to cull another seedling in the same soil as it had bugs. I'm sure they came from the soil, it's winter here and not really bug weather outside the tent so......
Anyway back to this grow. As I said RL life crap has got in the way a bit, and all I've really done is water and feed for the last two weeks. I've been very nervous about bugs, but not seen any. She seems to have settled in well, and is starting to flower.
Today I thinned out her leaves a little, and bent her over using a pipe cleaner exposing her lower parts to more light. Might be a bit late on this really, but better late than never.
She's not going to be a huge plant (mainly because of the early teething troubles), but I think she'll get to harvest
She's trotting along nicely. Still fighting to keep her low, but I think I'll stop that soon and let her go for it. Apart from being smaller than I'd like it's almost like she's forgotten her difficult start.
Well the tie downs have worked on this one. She's nice and low in the tent, with a nice even spread.
I'm going to let her go from now on.
She's looking hungry, so I'll be looking to up her feeding.
Update 8/12: Not only is she hungry she's thirsty. Two days since last watering and pot is light, and she was starting to droop. Watered again with nutes, see how she's doing in a couple of days.
She continues to flower, but I'm struggling to keep up with her. She's more demanding than the other girls, maybe more hungry , but for sure more thirsty.
I've thinned her leaves out a bit, to try a keep air circulating in there. Sadly she probably looks better in the photos than real life, she's very spidery looking. Her buds seem a bit on the airy side, but we'll see what the next few weeks do for her. 😀
16/2 update: In attempt to keep up with this girls demands I've fed and watered 3 days on the bounce!! I think she already looks a
little better for it 😀. I expect nute burn in her future 😂
This one's a slow one.
She's far more immature than the "Super Gold" on the same week. I could see this one going another month.
I've caught up with her feeding demands as best I can, and she seems happier.
Today I thinned out some of her central growth, and spread out her bud sites as much as possible. I'm hoping it will help with air circulation and light penetration.
I may have called her immature, but she's starting to get sticky 😀
Update 25/2: She's working on her buds for sure, putting on bulk. No sign of any brown yet, but she's sticky and stinky. 😁
Despite being on week 11, I think she's got a ways to go yet. I haven't even bothered using a microscope on her yet. I'll have a look over the course of this week.
Her buds are continuing to fatten up, and she's sticky 😁
This one's starting to fatten up lovely. With a really strong lemony, piney smell. Looking forward to this one.
Think we're still looking at a couple of weeks on her yet. I haven't got a second opinion from Dobby yet, she lost interest after looking at the Super Gold. Either that or it was too much for her 😃. Hopefully I'll get her expert opinion next week.
This one still doesn't look ready to me under the scope, her buds are starting to look more mature to the eye though. She's getting there 😁
Man is she stinking 😀
Update 14/3: Got some photos in the Sun
She just keeps going.
All she's doing is bulking up, I've got one fan dedicated to blowing through her from below now.
She needs to give up her seat soon. The tent is switching to 12/12 as of today so that should give her a bit of a encouragement. 😁
23/3 so two days of 12/12 hasn't done much yet, I can still see clear, and little to no brown. She is however drinking less, so....
I'm still not sure she's ready 😲 There's a bit more gold, but swear I can still see clear.
I can give her another week of 12/12, but after that I'm going to be needing her space in the tent.
She smells great, and has got quite sticky 😁. The photo's do not do her justice, her buds have a lovely mauve or light lavender colour.
