Planted directly into medium in 5g fabric pot and watered in with a shotglass of tap water which has a ph of 7.4 on 9/11. Broke ground 2 days later, calling the 14th as Day One.
9/15- She's doing great, has great color and vigor. Just giving 1-2oz of de-chlorinated water each day ph'd to 6.3 @ 74 deg.
9/18- Focusing on keeping the environment on point (RH, Temp, CO2, VPD)
9/22- She's a strong little girl! Starting to get thirstier, drying out faster now.
9/24- Just giving 1-2oz of de-chlorinated water each day ph'd to 6.3 @ 74 deg. and feeding with Fox Farms Grow Big once a week .
9/20- Week 3! The Gelato's doing great! It continues on 'autopilot' just getting de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.2-6.5 @ 74 deg. when dry. 225 ppm straight/360 ppm with CalMag+ added
9/23- Only watering every third day right now as I'm making sure she's dry in between watering's to keep her roots searching for moisture (big roots=BIG plants!). . I checked her medium ph and moisture level and all GTG! Going to let her dry out, check her medium moisture daily and monitor her health closely.
9/26-My girl is rockin and rollin , at 18 days old she's gonna be a beast I can see it already! She has just a perfect structure with a really stout main, tight internodal spacing, is super vigorous and if she's anything like the last FastBuds strain I ran...look out!
She started out on a 19/5 light schedule but was switched to 12/12 at 2 weeks into flower as she was sharing a tent with my photo's which had to be flipped. I'm sure this affected her yield and I'll be running this cultivar again using 19/5 throughout the entire run which I'm sure will increase the end yield. I left her alone and didn't do any topping or LST on her throughout her run until she went into flower. Once flowering I only did minimal LST and let her go. She developed 9 or 10 big cola's that ended up looking like they were left outside on a frosty night! This girl took all the nutrients and light I could throw at her (up to 1800ppm and 1200 umol's) and never skipped a beat! Definitely one I'll run again as she's a fun one to cultivate, fast flowering and some potent ass buds! ended up with 78g of frosty flowers, 18g of 'sugar trim' and 1.5g of 'first bounce' sift...97.5g total, not too shabby! This strain's fantastic for pressing too! I have pressed two batches so far using only the smaller/lighter buds and have got 22-25% yields on both, and the end product is amazing!
