I’m testing this strain for a buddy with a larger grow operation. We’ve heard good things about the THC LEVELS and think this hood be a good strain on a larger scale. No one in the Detroit area seems to be growing this strain. These 3 will move into my flower tent after I harvest at the end of this month. I will transplant each plant to 5 gallon pots and let them veg for two additional weeks after transplant and then switch them over to flower.

Week 4 and the pictures I uploaded were before I watered. They finally seem to be healthy. They soaked up the water which caused them to grow a bunch in 48 hours. I have a couple weeks before I will put them in their final pots and move them into my tent. That’s when the fun starts.

If you look at the pictures I’ve been able to start get the plant to open up a bit. The LST I did on these plant before I installed the net really is helping in this process. One of the plants had some discoloring on the tips of the leaves and flushed and have been only using water on both plant and the new growth this week looked healthy. Tomorrow I’m moving my AC out of my tent and rig up something to vent the AC’s cool outlet into the tent. I want to install some new oscillating fans and the AC and it’s exhaust hose just take up to much space. I’m also thinking about transplanting these ladies to five gallon pots and redo my netting. I can put these ladies into flower for another month. I have 3’ x 4’ of floor space. If I did a square 3 x 3 I could fill that entire space up and my LED light rating would be perfect for that space. My first priority is to move the AC and the fans. If that works and I don’t over heat my ac or something like that then I’ll rearrange the plants. Tune in next week to see what I can get in done because I’m working in the same room as my tent. The silver lining of Covid. Update - I will post some pictures tomorrow but I moved the AC out of my tent and installed a new oscillating fan. I think I need to upgrade my exhaust fan to 6” as well but 1 step at a time. Tomorrow I’ll install a new Net frame and change my floor layout. Not a 100% sure what it’s going to look like but I have an idea in my head. I just hope I have a few pieces in my scrap wood pile that I can use.

Earlier this week I removed my A/C from my tent and made a box that I mounted over the A/C’s output and vented back into the tent. Next week I’m going to buy a 6” infinity in-line fan and replace the current 4” exhaust and carbon filter. Once I replace that I will be able to control my tents temp. When I bought my larger tent I didn’t upgrade the exhaust fan and it’s currently right on the edge. The good news is I was able to run all week with out the AC turning on. My average temp this week was 76.4. I also redid my hosing on my 6” intake booster fan, installed a 16” oscillating fan and built and installed a square SCROG frame and net. I completed all that work by Monday and things ran great this week. I’m very happy! If you’ve followed this grow diary I am going on vacation the week of February 8th. I decided that I’m going to flip these into flower on Monday. This will give me 2 full weeks to keep tucking during the stretch period and then I will leave for vacation and let me automated tent run by itself for the week. I purchased a water pump system that can be programmed so I can water my girls while I’m gone. Amazon dropped it off today so I’ll have a couple weeks to figure it out and make sure it works well. If I don’t feel comfortable I will have a friend stop over while I’m gone and water but I really don’t want to that. My screen is 65% full and i think if I flip on Monday it will be closer to 75% full. I hope this works out and everything goes smooth while I’m on vacation. I don’t know but this may be a really bad decision but if I veg for another 3 weeks I’m going to run out of room on my SCROG net. I’m confident my set up will run fine while I gone but you just never know. My plants look good. One of my ladies had a calcium deficiency. I’ve feed her some cal mag after I flushed and she looks good. I cleaned/pruned the bottom half and f both plants and airflow seems good. Next time I do this I definitely have a few things I will do differently during veg but SCROG will be my new way of growing from now on. Check in next and hopefully we are seeing little hair popping through the screen.

Making mistakes is how I learn the best. I wish I was one of those people that could read a “how to” website and become an expert at what ever I just read. From learning how to build guitars, growing weed, doing electrical work, rebuilding a lawn mowers engine, etc.. I always get bored reading and just do. This normally allows me do these tasks multiple times before I get it right. I say this because I really dig this SCROG technique and will keep growing this way but there’s a few things I did wrong with this grow. I will definitely be able to improve now that I understand what I’m trying to accomplish. Back to my current garden, I pruned and cleaned up both plants. I also added two small fans underneath the screen to keep good airflow under canopy. I’m also using a 16” oscillating fan and 6” fan to keep good airflow above. I have a 6” booster fan bringing fresh air into the tent and a 4” in-line fan with carbon filter to pull the air out. (I will replace the 4” exhaust fan with a 6” exhaust fan later this week or when I get back from vacation.) Both plants look OK but because Installed my net to early and I didn’t defoliant my fan leaves my screen damaged some areas that i had to clean up. At this point I will keep tucking and pulling bud sites up this week. I’m leaving for vacation this Friday so Before I head to Florida I will organize everything one last time and let these ladies do there thing until I get home. I bought a little pump that I can program and I will feed my plants their nutrients before I leave and they only get fresh water when I’m gone. I’ve been testing my automated system this past week and it’s been work well.

So I went to Florida for a couple weeks and when I came home I ran to grow tent immediately to see how my ladies looked. My ladies were completely dead. My water pump that I was using didn’t work properly and it appeared dumped 5 gallons of water on its first cycle. My plants were totally dried out and dead. It was very sad but on to the grow.

Regards your update, I've done 1 scrog , it was a steptoe job, if your familiar with that term (steptoe & son) made out of canes and tied into a grid. I tucked each branch through a square and tied it down to the net so I could keep every bud sight at the same level. Be keepin an eye on this mate, looks interestin.

@Bbfcfm3414, Lol no worries, just a reference to a british sitcom about a cple of scrap men :) Anyway, yeh that's pretty much what I did. You don't necessarily have to tie them flat to the net, more just to make it easier to put each bud exactly where you want it, as long as the canopy is level as that's what you're trying to achieve really. Once you start pokin through you'll see how easy it is and how much you can play with it.

@@Mr_Cannab1sir, What’s up man? I’ve never used nets before so I really appreciate your comment. I’m not familiar with that term but did you allow the branch to come through the square and then tie it down to the net. Allowing the branch to grow horizontally right on top of the screen? I was planning on doing that once the plant is spread out enough. Not sure if that makes sense but I’m waiting for all my bud spot to get level with the screen. At this point I’m just trying to get the plant growing out so the middle of the plant can get up to the screen. I’m seeing that if your patient with this technique the yield will great. Any feedback is very much appreciated. Thank you!

I don't mind learning by making mistakes either mate. It's ok having it explained to you, but seeing it with your own eyes is where you gain the experience I reckon, then dealing with/correcting issues to put it right.
