Well, I may have killed 2/3 beans. I definitely killed one and one is definitely doing well. The jury is still out on the third, but it’s not looking good. I’m sure that I went a little nuts and over watered.
The one that broke dirt first was the one I planted closest to the surface (noted). This is the one that is doing well.
the second one had just started to break through and I’m thinking that I gave it too much and it spent too much energy reaching the surface. it was the 2nd deepest placement.
the third, and deepest, is still a no show. I’m guessing that I’ve planted too deep and that I’ve over watered as well. I’ll keep an eye out 🤞🏼
i figured I would do something like this along the way. I’ll germinate two more seeds and keep the soil going in the pots in the mean time. I did consider that it was a bit ambitious to plant the seed in the final pot rather than transfer after short time in a smaller container. Any thoughts on this? Does it make a big difference?
bummer about the beans but this is how we learn. Pushing on
@Rock_n_Roll_Randy, thank you again! Best quality nugz I’ve gotten from this plant yet. Moving on to other strains but I’ll have some VOG headies for months to come!
@XoticGROW666, I wish I knew. I had to cull one, put one outside to collect pollen, I killed 4 and I have 4 in veg right now. I flowered my last venom og and my most mature AZ together but it turned out to be male so I culled it. I should have some Umami terps soon but just not yet. I’m throwing at least one into flower in about a month. Thanks for checking in bruh and stay tuned for umami terps down the line ✌️🏼🌱
@ThrashedTV_BakedByGlaze,
The sweet basil is in its own pot and we’re growing it as a companion plant. I’ve got white clover going as a cover crop. Cover crops are supposed to be good for soil health and contribute to a healthier food web. So far so good. As for the soil, it’s a combination of two premixed organic grow blends that I amended slightly. It’s working for the time being but I’ll need to keep working on it to dial it in. Thanks for cruisin!
@Itslegalnow, you know, mostly not but sort of.
I had to chop all of this down. Mites got the best of my garden while I was out of town. I tried to get them in check before I left. In my veg tent I did but my flower tent was pretty bad when I returned. I cleaned it out, bleached it, let it sit for 3 weeks, bleached it again, let it sit for three weeks and bleached it again.
I gave most of my clones away but I save. MAC1 and and AZ4. I put those in my flower tent after a couple rounds of topping and they’re like 15 days in now.
I killed the Bokashi experiment. It works. You can make super rich soil in a small urban space. But I don’t have to and I’m not going to anymore 😂
I switched to pots, ditched the beds. Everything is clean and in good working order. If everything goes according to plan I’ll harvest in about 50 days 😎
Sorry for the long answer to the short question bit as you can see, no but yes needed some explaining. That said, I’m happy to chat growing anytime.
Thanks!
