Ok! This was a good week.
VOG is one week out. Branches are getting heavy so I tied it up for additional support. She continues to put on more weight and the trichomes are stackin. Very nice. We chop a week from today. I did notice what appears to be spider mite larvae on some of the fan leaves which of course is a bummer because I thought I was over this hump. The good news is that they just showed up and I’m only a week out and I should be able to manage it through harvest. The bummer of course being that they are back. Time for another deep clean/aggressive ipm. I’m also going to plant some marigold.
AZ2 is dropping pollen. I cut a couple branches and sifted some pollen from each into plastic food containers and popped them in the freezer with a tight lid. Save that jizz for later.
AZ3 who I thought was a goner, is coming back. These plants never cease to amaze.
AZ4, 5, 6, and the reveg are all looking super healthy in the veg bin.
The residue on the leaves is from this week’s IPM which was wettable sulfer which is specific for mites. There’s no evidence of mites being in the veg tent but I’m not feeling like taking any chances as these are all going into bloom in less than a month and they need to be as healthy as possible. I mixed one tsp in a 1/2 gallon of water and sprayed liberally. That was on Thursday. Everything is looking healthy.
That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing! ✌️🏼🌱
@Rock_n_Roll_Randy, thank you again! Best quality nugz I’ve gotten from this plant yet. Moving on to other strains but I’ll have some VOG headies for months to come!
@XoticGROW666, I wish I knew. I had to cull one, put one outside to collect pollen, I killed 4 and I have 4 in veg right now. I flowered my last venom og and my most mature AZ together but it turned out to be male so I culled it. I should have some Umami terps soon but just not yet. I’m throwing at least one into flower in about a month. Thanks for checking in bruh and stay tuned for umami terps down the line ✌️🏼🌱
@ThrashedTV_BakedByGlaze,
The sweet basil is in its own pot and we’re growing it as a companion plant. I’ve got white clover going as a cover crop. Cover crops are supposed to be good for soil health and contribute to a healthier food web. So far so good. As for the soil, it’s a combination of two premixed organic grow blends that I amended slightly. It’s working for the time being but I’ll need to keep working on it to dial it in. Thanks for cruisin!
@Itslegalnow, you know, mostly not but sort of.
I had to chop all of this down. Mites got the best of my garden while I was out of town. I tried to get them in check before I left. In my veg tent I did but my flower tent was pretty bad when I returned. I cleaned it out, bleached it, let it sit for 3 weeks, bleached it again, let it sit for three weeks and bleached it again.
I gave most of my clones away but I save. MAC1 and and AZ4. I put those in my flower tent after a couple rounds of topping and they’re like 15 days in now.
I killed the Bokashi experiment. It works. You can make super rich soil in a small urban space. But I don’t have to and I’m not going to anymore 😂
I switched to pots, ditched the beds. Everything is clean and in good working order. If everything goes according to plan I’ll harvest in about 50 days 😎
Sorry for the long answer to the short question bit as you can see, no but yes needed some explaining. That said, I’m happy to chat growing anytime.
Thanks!
Good luck with your grow I hope you get the best taste of buds and healthy plants! Take care and stay lit! I will drop by sometimes to check on your process! Say hello if you ever visit my page!
