timbarin Hello friends and readers.
Before another grow starts I wanted to share a memory...
Roughly 20 years ago, a very good friend and I sat down in his garden for a midday joint. He was an amateur grower and he had just completed growing Ice cool X Shiva and it opened my eyes. Both of us were supposed to work that day.. We didn't 😎. He opened my eyes that day to growing. He showed me the real potential of what a plant can actually give vs the quality I was used buying commercially.
By having the opportunity to grow this strain, I'm closing this big circle by growing this amazing plant. It's giving me an opportunity to relive an amazing day with an amazing friend.
Thank you old and dear friend!

I feed her once max twice a week.

The girl is fed twice a week, and i have decided due to her size and vigorous growth to LST, TOP and Main-Line her. (all my plants follow the same regiment)
She doesnt show any issues and after looking @ some other diaries, i took to the pipe cleaners and used them for the LST
@Mrs_Larimar did it with success on some tiny plants.

This plant is a powerhouse!
The growth is fast and vigorous. She now has 8 main colas 6 of them are tied down and i'm waiting for the other 2 to stretch.
This will be her final shape and roughly in 4 weeks time she will be moved into the tent for flowering.

Hope you like the training and shaping of the plant

timbarin This closes the last week of veg
As I write this message the 12/12 cycle is on!
The countdown is starting today.
This is really exciting news, 16 weeks of veg was way to long and I really need to rethink my rotation plans with the plants.
She requires maximum of 12 weeks from seed using 15L pots. If I switch to 11L I think 8 weeks will suffice.
The scrog net is from yesterday.

timbarin The feeding schedule has stabilized and the plants are getting fed every 48 hours with 5L solution.
The scrog net stops her from getting taller (95cm) and the flowers started to develop.
The smell also started to be noticeable.
I had to defoliate her several times and I'm looking to see the bus formation though next week.

This has been a very eventful week, as I was wrapping up last weeks entries I started to see white larve on my fan leafs and then I spotted like thrips. I took a biological pesteside and they seem to have died after spraying them twice.
On Thursday, the smart switch didn't turn off the light and this made me readjust my 12/12 cycle. Running it now from 9 to 9.
I also feel the plagron food is quite weak and dosen't really make big flowers

timbarin This concludes 66 days of flowering. I have chopped the plant down and setup a small tent to dry it.
the temp is monitored and the RH is roughly 65 and temp around 24.
She is a beast. the smoke report will happen later on when the plant dried up and cured for a while.
thanks @sweet_seeds
Firstly I wanted to thank my sponsors Sweet Seeds for sending me the seeds and providing me with much needed support during this grow. I greatly appreciated it. However, despite being sponsored and having seeds provided, the opinions that I give in this diary are 100% my own and not biased in any way. The seeds were also chosen by me from their catalogue.
To surmise the grow: This has been a great plant to grow. She has responded to all my trainings well, and ended up with a great shape which created some Excellent juicy buds. She drank all the nutrients like a champ and this was evident in her growth. I kept her in a vegetative state for 16 weeks, which is a bit longer than I had intended to, but this has resulted in some very fat colas. This longer vegetative state was down to some spatial limitations in my house. I look forward to seeing how developed her root system was although I have not yet investigated the pot.
Upon reaching the flowering stage, I was delighted to find that one of my colas had developed into a polyploid. I have since been informed that this is a very rare mutation and made the cola look like it has three tops as opposed to one. The colours also developed into beautiful ambers, yellows and greens. The buds themselves have all come out in different sizes, with some coming out fat and juicy, and some on the smaller side. They are all very sticky and full of resin, and touching them without gloves means very sticky fingers.
Living in a warmer climate, one of the biggest challenges I face is drying time, humidity and heat. I dried them in a dark room, with 55% humidity and 22 degrees Celsius. These dried for 7 days before being placed into a metal container with Boveda humidity packs. I do have to have the A.C running 24-7, during the grow and drying process, since where I live has an average temp in the late 20s to early 30s. This then began the curing process.
In order to properly assess the flavour profile, I have started to utilize a flavour wheel. My girlfriend and I differed on the smells. She could smell a sweet pine sensation, and I myself could smell mainly the sour hints with lemon and mint. I could also sense an earthy smell which felt like an unidentified cooking herb. Taste wise its a very smooth smoke. This could however also be down to the organic fertilizing, and the penultimate water only regime.
When I smoke this strain, it gives me an uplifting and powerful sensation, which makes me feel energetic, ants in my pants feeling. This mixes very bad with coffee. Doing an awake and bake is a terrible idea. Following this up, a down follows which sucks me into the couch, and makes me want to play video games and watch movies. However I would not recommend to smoke this strain close to bedtime and I'm just too wired.

Overall I'm very pleased with this grow. It was a run of the mill grow. Sweet seeds have provided some excellent seeds and I enjoyed growing some strains that sent me down memory lane again. It gave me a chance to remember a friend.
@sweet_seeds, thanks for sending all these amazing strains. It's funny to think that we grew this seed half the world away in Israel, roughly 10 years ago
you can avoid those spots,,, if you always water your plants before you feed them
i do my feeding in 2 steps,,, first step.. mixinng beneficals and watering the plant.... step 2 mixing assmaller batch of nutes..... and after waiting 15 minutes i feed the plants into the wet medium
You've got a bit of nitrogen toxicity. Super dark green curled down leaf tips.
Also if your using zyme all the time Its unnecessary. Thats what u use to flush. Id only use it once a month.
Once that pot dries up a bit gove that plant straight water and flush the soil 3 or 4 times. Then just let it recover on its own. Keep us posted
I wish I was able to give her the extra couple of weeks at the end like you did! I harvested according to the packet as quick as possible because I have people coming for a gas inspection. Shame but I have more seeds so not an issue - I also got a great yield. I just simply topped her, and then spread out her 6 or so branches and tied them down to the edge of the AutoPot. I think this stunted her because she isn’t as big as some other people’s for the amount of time I vegged, still I got a load of buds because of all the nodes that popped up from the horizontal main nodes. Sorry, I just harvested today so I’m looking at the possibilities - yours is the best example iv found so far. Also I really like your photography.
If I can be assed at the time I always try to get my D-SLR going to get some nice shots of my work.
When I then load them into my photo roll, it adds them to my google nest as a photo frame.
