12/24: plant sprouted from soil
Meet Funky Fresh, so named because of her funky leaves so early on in her life. This seed seems to have been slow growing so far, I've been having trouble keeping the humidity as high as it should be. To help with that I left a clear plastic container over it for a humidity dome. Also have a essential oil diffuser with water in the tent and mist occasionally with a spray bottle. Funky Fresh is about 2 1/2 weeks younger than my other plant in the tent. I'll have to balance having this plant big enough to flower and having the other stay short enough to not stretch through the roof. Fortunately though I have two separate light fixtures so I can adjust the height on them separately.
She's doing okay though, growing her roots and hopefully she'll take off soon enough!
I was gone most of this week but I had my roommate water her for me. I left 2 liters of premixed fertilizer water for them to water her on the 31st and 3rd. Not too much to say as I wasn't here with her. She looked perfectly healthy when I got back. She should be ready for a transplant soon into her big pot. She's already at her fourth node spacing too! Excited to see her grow!
Transplanted into her 7 gallon fabric pot early this week. I decided to flush the soil and check the ph of the runoff as my other plant was having ph issues. The ph was fine, probably because it has less buildup in the soil. Topped her at the 4th node. Ready to see those shoots stretch!
Pretty easy week. Just feeding her and letting her grow. As tall as the scrog net now, going to do minimal training on her. Going to be switching to flower soon and hoping her stretch will even out the canopy a bit between her and my older gorilla zkittles in the tent.
Flipped to flower on 01/25. Pretty easy week and she stretched as I hoped she would. Almost as tall as my other plant in the tent that's 2 1/2 weeks older! She's healthy and strong. Excited to see what she does in the flowering stage :)
