Blue Dream DWC

Well it’s definitely been more than a week since I updated. Lots going on. First, still dealing with brown roots after reservoir changes. The dude at the hydro store confirmed what I’ve been starting to suspect, which is that the chlorine in my tap water is killing all my beneficial bacteria from Hydroguard. So, I’m going to change course a little bit. I’ve got some UC roots on the way, which will allow me to start running more of a sterile reservoir. Plant is staying healthy on top so I’m not going to freak out about it unless I have to. Second, my veg has been really slow the last couple grows so I replaced my MH bulb and that seems to be helping a lot. Third, I’m streamlining my reservoir changes by setting up a second bucket so I can just bring in the new bucket and switch the lid with new soup each week. I may also start oxygenating the water for most of the week in the second bucket to kind of de-chlorinate it before I add nutes and adjust the pH. Hoping to flip to bloom on 3/1. Until next time...
