Germinating...
So this seed was a little cracked open.. My first ILGM White Widow autoflower was also cracked but that didnt slow her down one bit! She actually sprouted in 2 days! So I'm hoping this one will do the same!.. keeping the cup on top of my Mars Hydro TS 1000 driver which keeps it pretty warm.. Not even 6 hours and she has sunk to the bottom of the cup.. I like to keep them in the cup for about 24 hours.. No longer than 48 hours. They USUALLY will be spitting out a tail by then.. That's when I put them straight into medium (coco/perlite)... This should be a fun grow!
12 hours of germination...
Wow she has already sprouted a tail! Not super long but its enough to know that she is definately germinating!!!.. I have a feeling that the warmth has ALOT to do with how quick they will sprout. I had the light on 100% while the cup was sitting on top of the driver.. Now that she is in the medium, I bumped it down to 50%.. Should still be warm enough for her.. Also sprayed the medium around where the seed is housed and placed a cup on top.. My goal was to get her sprouted up by Monday (just easier for me to keep track of the weeks lol).. But the way she has already sprouted.. She will probably be up by Sunday (2 days)!!.. At this point, i just make sure everything is kept moist.. The cup.. The medium.. And just wait for the girlie to poke her head out! ILGM ALWAYS has some decent stuff.. I have no doubt that she will be up in no time! I even put her down a little deeper than I normally like to.. Really hoping to begin my weeks on Mondays lol
Sunday...
She has now made her way to the top of the medium.. But won't be up and open by the morning! Perfect timing! So she will begin her life tomorrow which is what I was hoping for! Perfect!!! Updating tomorrow with pics! I tried to get a pic of her but I couldn't get a good one.. Blah whatever. Not that important lol..
Later...
One thing I think I feel I should mention.. This was the medium and fabric pot that I used for my Purple Lemonade by FastBuds.. Literally I just flushed before harvest for 2 weeks.. Bringing the runoff TDS down to about 200 PPM.. Harvested.. left the pot a d the tree trunk in the tent with the fans on to let it dry a little for about 2 days.. Carefully removed the rootball to get a couple pics.. Spent about 30 seconds removing the roots that had grown into the fabirc (then relized I dont really care that much hahah) And put the medium back into the fabric pot.. And began germinating this girl here.. Just showing how BAD ASS growing in coco coir/perlite is.. I fucking love coco coir.. I never even made it to the point of trying organics.. Grew in soil my very first grow and realized that I wasnt able to spend enough time with my ladies lol.. Only watering maybe twice a week was not enough.. So I tried coco and I fell in love.. Best medium for me and my ladies.. I like to add alot of perlite.. And keeping my fabric pot elevated about the saucer because it helps dry out the medium enough for me to water everyday.. Coco coir is super easy to grow in.. Alot easier to flush if you run into a problem.. If you have time for frequent fertigation than more power to you! I didnt.. Shit takes like 6 waterings a day.. That's just insane.. Youd have to use some sort of automatic watering gadget which just takes the fun out of it for me.. And manualy watering it was too much.. And a waste of nutes if you ask me.. I can probably still skip a day if needed and she will still be perfect with just watering/feeding daily.. But I have found my sweet spot when it comes to growing medium.. Dont get me wrong.. I would still like to try hydroponics DWC but damn I cant seem to get a plant to stay healthy from seed to harvest.. They will be good for a few weeks then all of a sudden some horrible things will happen.. Get it fixed and then a couple weeks later another horrible thing happens.. Lol.. Im no scientist and DWC has shown me that. But I would like to give it one more shot before I toss out my bucket, clay pebbles, air pump and little water pump I was going to use for drip feeding while she was still a youngster.. Sorry Idk why Im putting all this into thie grow diary.. Haha I doubt anybody reads all of this.. If you have made it this far.. Thanks.. Just know that coco coir is beast of all mediums.. If you have not tried it.. You should.. As long as you know you can spend about 5-10 mins a day loving your ladies like I do lol... Now to begin the 1st week of this Zkitttlez Autoflower's life!!!.... I cant believe that GD doesnt have the auto version of this in their options yet.. Its been out for a good while now.. Oh well.. You get my point lol
Beginning of week..
Today a star is born! This week she will only get a tad of some CALiMAGic. The light is only at 15% power and 30 inches from the plant. Last grow was kind of difficult watering because I kept her so short and stubby lol.. I don't want her to stretch exactly... But I dont want her first set of branches only 1 inch above the medium. First time with this strain.. But ILGM hasn't let me down yet.. For this being the second cracked seed that germinated in half the time beans usually take to germinate.. I cannot complain. Pretty happy with them.. If stored properly, seeds can last indefinite. I like to keep my seeds triple bagged, double boxed, with a handful of silica packets and moisture absorbers in the fridge.. This has kept all my beans good for almost 3 years so far.. My germination rate has been 100%. Keep them away from light and moisture.. Cooled in the fridge and warm when germinating and it will never fail!!!.. Unless you were sold some bunk seeds that were not stored properly of course.. But like I said.. 100% germination rate here!
Mid week..
Filled a 1L bottle with .5mL/L of CALiMAGic and pH'd water.. About halfway through that bottle now. Just watering daily. She isn't stretching whatsoever. Still have the light at 15% power and 30 inches above this lovely lady.. Can't wait to see what she is capable of doing!! Thinking of trying her on 20/4 light schedule because all of my autos end up the EXACT same height.. And a fellow grower on YouTube uses 24/0 and his ILGM autos are always twice the size of mine.. So I think I'll go halfway and see if it does anything different. But I will never use 24/0.. I know they will survive and whatnot.. But I feel like the rest is beneficial.. Although his always look amazing.. I still prefer to give my ladies some rest.. And also giving my lights some rest! And my air conditioning.. Lol.. Just seems better all around to give the ladies some rest.. But after this week, I may put her on 20/4.. Just to try it out...
End of week..
She's got some new leaves ready to come out.. Next week (starting tomorrow) she will get a bit of a feeding.. Just gonna keep the calmag the same, add a little bit of micro to the mix. She seems happy and healthy so far... I think I'm going to go ahead and keep the 18/6 light cycle.. It's what I'm used to.. Plus I sleep in the room my tent is in.. And lights go out when I go to bed.. Not worried about light leaks.. Just the heat the light will give off when I'm trying to sleep and I have the power at 100%.. I hate trying to sleep in the heat lol.. Anyways.. On to the next!!!..
Beginning of week..
She's looking good.. Went ahead and bumped up the power of the light to 25%.. It was at about 15% for the first week.. Added .5mL/L of FloraMicro and .1mL/L (3 drops) and not the TDS is going in at 500 PPM.. No issues.. Happy with the way she is growing so far!
Mid week..
Ok so she seems like she is growing a bit slower.. Usually my autos would be working on the 3rd set of leaves by now.. Not so much on this one.. Idk wtf is going on.. She is happy and healthy tho.. Just slow for some reason.. Hmm..
Next day..
Just been thinking.. I'm gonna go ahead and throw in some ArmorSi (Silica) and some FloraGro next week. I went ahead and bumped the lights up just a little.. So about 35% power now.. She is growing a little slower than I've seen with autos.. I hope she doesn't turn out to be a runt.. I would be pissed. But so far, she is happy!
End of week..
She's coming along nicely.. Starting to see some sprouts for new branches. Cant wait to begin some LST!!! On to the next!...
Beginning of week..
Went ahead and added a tad of some Armor Si (Silica) and a tad of some FloraGro to the mix.. Before it was taking 2 - 3 days to water with 1L.. Today I went ahead and watered in a whole 1L bottle.. Just trying to get the coco nice and moist for the roots.. The ONLY thing I hate about coco coir is how much it repels water before absorbing it at first. I really hope she doesn't turn out to be a runt.. This SHOULD be the week that she begins to explode with growth.. Just need her to get some branches before flower and I'll be happy lol.
Almost mid week..
Just wanted to post a couple pics of the branches sprouting.. Niceeee... The second node seems to be more developed than the first node.. That is always weird to me.. But I guess it's because of the leaf mass feeding that node that counts.. Maybe?.. Hmm
Mid week..
So I went ahead and watered/fed the entire pot.. 3L to get a good amount of runoff.. Tested it and holy shit.. I didnt know my TDS meter went that high lol.. The runoff was about 4450 PPM.. 5.5 PH.. But that's not what is at the root zone. That has to be the fabric itself and from each time I only watered with 1L.. The plant itself is looking great.. Still think she should be much bigger at this point.. But I feel like that is the gamble when it comes to autoflowers.. But she will pull through.. I just feel it lol.. 🤞🤞🤞
End of week..
So I went ahead and watered 2x a day with out any nutes to bring down the TDS.. Got her down pretty good with 3 waterings.. Then for one day I went ahead and gave her 1 more watering. I know she isn't really big enough to be watering the entire pot yet, but it's just eaiser for me to judge when she needs water and needs nutes.. Plus I like to check the runoff.. But from here on out I'm going to feed 1 day, then just plain pH'd water the next day.. Considering there isn't any issues that arise.. But she is doing good for now.. She is getting some branches.. No preflower yet.. Which, I'm assuming is because of her size.. So I'm hoping she won't start to actually flower until somewhere between 6 - 8 weeks from seed.. But like I was saying.. She isnt showing any preflower yet... Just hoping she wasnt mixed up with some photoperiods.. Which ILGM is known for doing quite a bit lol.. From what I've seen and noticed.. Autoflowers tend to branch alot quicker and also tend to show preflower at around week 3 or 4.. And dont start to flower till about week 5 or 6.. I've grown more plants than what I have posted on GrowDiaries.. Not alot more, but more than 10 grows.. that's for sure... Lol.. Anyways.. She is happy and healthy.. Just a little slower than I'm used to.. Hoping she picks up.. This should have been the week that these girls normally explode with growth.. So this next week should be the growth explosion! On to the next!!!...
Beginning of week..
Shit.. Where do I even start... So far its been 24 hours of power outage.. Temps are at 52F - 54F INDOORS.. got a generator running a couple small heaters.. But that what's keeping the temps up to where they are at now.. Its 12F outside.. Not used to that at all.. The plant has been transpiring like crazy.. You can probably see the drops of water on the leaves.. She produced that herself.. I did not spray her whatsoever lol.. Humidity in the tent is reaching 75%.. Which I guess isn't awful.. But hopefully the power will be back on in the AM.. I went ahead and skipped watering today.. Medium is still very wet from yesterday.. This shit sucks..
Mid week..
Today is the first day she will have a full 18 hours of good lighting.. With the power being out, had to use a little flashlight on this girl just to give her SOME light lol.. She has these weird dying tips on the serrated parts of a couple leaves.. Not all of them.. But at least 3 of them.. I haven't watered at all because without heat and ait movement, the medium stayed pretty moist up until today.. But she is doing good.. Found some preflower on just one side of the plant at one node.. So hopefully these last 3 days didn't hurt her too much and she will explode this week still lol.. Need to get her on some LST ASAP but still need her to grow a couple more inches or nodes.. Thinking of trying to ponytail her for a couple days in a few days to get those bottom branches some good lighting.. She shouldn't have been hurt too bad from this.. I also sprayed her down really good because she was showing some white spots from her transpiring in the awful conditions she was in.. But so far, it looks like it washed off pretty easily.. Got the fan drying her off quickly so that shouldnt be an issue.. Keeping my fingers crossed that she bounces back quickly and easily so she isn't stunted and come out small.. But I think she should be fine...
Next day..
So Im thinking the white spots may be white powdery mildew beginning?? Its pretty simple to get rid of.. With the fans and lights being off for 3 days and the way she was transpiring just didnt go well together.. But she will make it.. I went ahead and upped the CalMag this week and also bumped the light power from 50% to about 60%.. Havent lowered the light at all.. Just keeping it where its at and letting the plant grow into it.. I have one of those 3-in-1 soil meters.. Its claims to read the pH of the soil, moisture and the light intensity.. I've got it kinda dialed in with my grows.. It's no PAR meter.. But my seedings do well when its reading 200 (of whatever its measuring lol).. Early veg, I keep it around 500.. Later veg, closer to 1000.. Early flower, I like to see it at 2000.. And late flower I kinda try to judge by how far it would be going past 2000.. Obviously not super far past.. But if it read any higher, it would probably be around 4000.. Not a bad little gadget.. Just gotta find your own little sweet spot with the light meter.. And the moisture meter is ok when you cant tell if your medium is absorbing at the beginning of a grow.. Like the issue I usually have when the coco coir gets very dry and Im starting a new grow.. But the pH meter is trash on that thing.. I just test my runoff.. But the light meter not a bad thing when you know watch how your plants react to different readings.. Anyways.. Yeah.. She is happy enough to keep trucking.. Got some preflower at the top nodes.. Still np growth explosion yet lol.. Still waiting on that.. Should be soon as long as there arent anymore issues..
End of week..
Found some more preflower toward the top.. Noice.. I removed the bottom leaves (single leaves) they looked so pathetic.. Branches were already removed too.. So I noticed a second set of branches spouting from the new bottom node!! Never seen this before.. Weird.. Can't be a bad thing tho lol.. Gonna bump up the Armor Si (Silica) and bump up the FloraGro a little next week.. Also not going to use any more of the Floralicious Plus till she's in flower.. Seems like a waste to me.. Anyways... On to the next!...
Beginning of week..
Ok no more Floralicious Plus for now.. Thinking of just investing in some Floralicious Bloom instead.. I only like to use it in flower anyway. I went ahead and ponytailed her up for today.. May do it tomorrow too.. Will see how it goes today first.. Going to go up on the FloraGro and also up on the Armor Si for this week. There some slight orangish, brownish spots on the lowest set of leaves.. I'm guessing that's from the CALiMAGic only being used at 1/2 strength?? It hasnt gotten worse.. Has been there for a while too.. But the newer growth is looking good. I can't wait to begin some LST on this girl!
Next day...
I released the ponytail a couple hours before lights out lastnight.. Let her straighten her leaves back out.. I wish she would have grown quicker.. I'm going crazy not being able to LST her!!! Roots have already made it to the bottom of the fabric pot.. They are poking out in a few places already.. Niceeee...
Almost mid week..
Was able to get her tied down.. Tucked some leaves and pulled a couple branches from the back up to the front.. So now all branches are exposed to the light! Yessss! As always.. Looks like shit lol.. But now that the branches are exposed and the top is pulled down a bit, she should start focusing on the branches a little more! So excited!!!
Mid week...
So I went ahead and gave her a full dose of Floralicious Plus along with the nutes lol.. 😏 I haven't bought anything from Amazon in a while.. So I'm makin a list of supplements and enhancers for my ladies lol.. For sure a jug of Floralicious Bloom.. Thinking some sea kelp.. But as for the girlie.. The LST just looks like shit to me.. Lol.. But once those branches grow a little bit more, I can spread them out and she can start taking better form.. But she is happy and healthy!.. So I guess I can't complain! Lol.. The runoff has been coming out on point.. So there literally should be 0 issues!.. I feed one day, then just plain ol' pH'd water the next day.. Oh.. And something I figured is also important to note.. I have not removed any leaves during the LST.... I've just been tucking them to keep the stress to a minimum since she started out so slow.. And I will remove some fan leaves, once the branch it's feeding has enough leaf mass to make up for it... That's kinda how I've always done it when they are still this young.. I know she shouldn't get any issues with leaves being on top of eachother because of the air movement and ventilation I got going on in there.. More than enough!...
Next day..
The fan leaves were becoming a huge issue.. Blocking almost half the plant and really messing with the branches.. I went ahead and removed 3 nodes of fan leaves (6 fan leaves) and a couple of lower leaves on 2 branches.. (They were causing some trouble too). Then went ahead and readjusted the LST.. Just moved the tie to the next node up.. This girl needs to start stretching already lol.. Still looks like shit.. But not so much now lol..
End of week..
Gonna bump up the FloraMicro next week.. See how things go from there.. Haven't really done much else this week.. Still cant even get a tie to the branches.. Ugh.. I did bump up the power of the lights to 75%.. Still at about 28 inches.. Havent adjusted the light at all.. Trying to avoid too much heat.. Really can't wait to get these branches to grow some and spread them out... Anyways.. On to the next!...
Beginning of week..
So with the Floralicious Plus, I've only been giving 5 drops/L.. Today I went with 7 drops/L.. Still roughly about the same I suppose lol.. I went ahead and added some Hydroguard to the mix.. Hoping that will clear up any root issues if there are any. Thinking of investing in some water soluable mycorrhizae (sp?) as well.. Bumped power of the light up to 75%.. Anyways.. Let's see how things go this week...
Mid week...
She hasn't done much.. In fact, I was thinking of digging her up and starting something new.. She still isn't growing normal.. Very very slow.. But today I realized that she is growing.. Just slow.. I did notice some weird redish or pinkish growth at the main top.. Like all the very new growth is turning some weird color.. Also found some more of those calcium def. looking spots too. Not too many more.. But a couple more leaves have them on their tips or light exposed areas.. Starting to wonder if there is a lockout or something.. Hmm... The runoff pH was a little lower than normal today.. 5.9.. Not much.. But more than I'd like to see.. I think tonight I'm going to do another water only.. Then in the AM tomorrow another water.. Then another water that night.. Then back to normal the next day.. Just in case there is a lockout..
End of week..
Ok so I dis that flush I was talking about.. Even used rain water since my tap water is 260 PPM but using the Brita filter (Walmart brand) it brings it down to 170 PPM at the moment.. Rain water here is 30 PPM.. Niceee... Now that I'm back to feeding, watering, feeding, etc. the runoff is still coming out low.. But I'm sure it will slowly make it's way back up.. She was probably pretty hungry after no food for a couple days.. But I went ahead and removed a few more leaves because when I tied down more branches, they were just.. Going to cause issues lol.. Even tucking couldnt fix.. And with the way this grow has been growing, I don't really want leaves on top of leaves.. The stiples have that weird coloring I was talking about (see pics).. She should begin flowering and stretching aaaany week now.. Lol.. Either next week or the week after that.. Either way, I'm ready for it to begin.. I hope she stretches quite a bit after all this slowness growing on.. It's just weird to me.. She is healthy asf.. No visible issues.. Just growing at a slow pace.. But I guess it's just a pheno or genetic thing.. That's the only thing that makes any sense to me at this point.. Anyways... She is happy and healthy.. I almost dug her up and started a new girl.. Let's hope that I made the right decision to keep her going.. She should have quite a massive root system so I think the stretch should be magical lol.. On to the next week!...
I have this autoflower that is growing really slow. Everything seems perfect as far as health, lighting, temps, humidity, pH (including runoff), PPM (including runoff).. She has been growing slow since day 1... Why??? Pic is 8th week from seed.
Looking @ your weeks she has been looking fine. There has been lots of growth. You have done lots of training to her. That helps to keep her short and aids in new growth from below. You wanted to keep her short and you have done a good job @ that. Gl the rest of the way.
Beginning of week...
She is doing her thing.. Slowly but surely lol.. Healthy as far as I can tell.. Maybe the reused coco is too reused? Idk. There is a bit of coco/perlite from my first grow in there lol.. Some others too.. But she is still truckin along.. Went up on the Armor Si (Silica) and a little on the FloraGro.. She does look like she is gonna beginning flowering very soon tho.. Pistils are forming slowly.. Much like the rest of this grow.. But she is starting.. I'm not going to start counting flower till I actually see that she is flowering.. Stretching and all.. That's how I like to count flower.. Always seems to line up perfectly when you count flower that way.. Even with photoperiods.. Not from the 12/12 flip because there is still 2 weeks of transition. Anyways.. Another week in the making...
Next day...
So my Mars Hydro is crapping out. I have to drop it down to 20 inches from the canopy and run it at 75%.. So pissed.. It glows when it is powered off and still plugged in.. And if I turn it on while the power is set to 100%.. It just blinks until I turn it down to 75%.. I can have it set to 75% and it will turn on like normal.. But I need to use 100% power.. And Mars Hydro sucks with responding to emails apparently.. I'm gonna have to buy a new one and return this POS.. Then hopefully buy a new stronger light for my 2x2.. I am so pissed.. Mars Hydro sucks.. The build is amazing.. The components are awesome when they are not flawed.. But damn this is the 3rd light to crap out on me in 2 years.. I do nothing but run them 18/6 or 12/12.. Run 1 fan on top at the driver and heatsink and 1 under toward the diodes.. Nothing different.. I think I'm gonna buy the Wakyme J-2000.. It comes with 2 fans blowing on the heatsink.. Honestly, noise is not an issue to me.. Heat is.. I sleep with all my fans running already lol.. Its actually hard to sleep without them now hahah.. But yeah. It has a Meanwell driver.. Samsung diodes.. Dimmer.. And the fans.. I think it's my best bet at this point.. Fuck Mars Hydro.. They had 3 chances with me.. My Sunraise 1000 (blurple) is like 4 years old and still running strong.. Smh.. Mars Hydro is crap. How did they even get so popular??? I'm sure more people will realize how crappy they really are.. No name brand everything.. Runs hot as ass.. Craps out after 3 - 4 months.. So so pissed...
Almost mid week..
I went ahead and pulled a couple branches down a bit.. The canopy is perfectly even.. It looks AwEsOmE! Lol
Mid week..
Well, she seems to be doing a bit better than before, I'd say. Normally, my previous autos would be flowering and probably almost finished stretching by now.. Live and learn.. I hope all the Zkittlez Autoflower seeds aren't like this.. And hopefully this strain turns out pretty dank to be wasting a few extra weeks on growth but not getting much growth at the same time.. And I hope harvest doesn't come quicker than the swelling of the calyxes.. But shit happens.. I have Mars Hydro sending me a new driver/dimmer. I sure hope it's just "plug-in" because if I'm going to take this light apart, I'm just going to go with the Meanwell HLG-240H-54B.. From what I was told from LEDSupplier dot com.. The 240W would be better due to the different current. We are still trying to figure out if the dimmer is 0-10V to see if I can just keep using the Mars Hydro dimmer along with the MeanWell HLG-240H-54B.. That would be cool.. Sorry but Mars Hydro sucks.. I bet running a different driver would help alot of issues.. Maybe even run cooler. Anyways.. About the plant lol.. She is doing great.. The stiples are still showing some weird colors on the tips.. Doesn't seem like an issue.. Some plants have the stems change colors.. Some have pistils change colors.. Some have leaves change colors.. Maybe that is just in her genetics.. The pics that ILGM shows, it should be a pretty colorful strain.. Guess we shall see! But she is happy and healthy.. I think I'm going to stop using Hydroguard next week.. Just doesn't seem like it's doing much of anything.. I really only bought it to fight root rot when I attempt DWC which I am going to attempt again very soon.. Maybe after this grow... We shall see...
Almost end of week..
Went ahead and defoliated/lollipopped a bit. She was getting too bunched together.. She is nice and opened up now.. 2 side branches stayed pretty short.. Not sure what that is all about.. Flowers are slowly forming at this point. Next week will be week 1 of flower and stretching should begin! She is still getting good light even with the power only being at 75%.. Just have it down lower.. Which I could get away with till harvest.. But fuck that. I ordered a new Mars Hydro TS 1000.. And Mars Hydro is also sending me a new driver/dimmer box to replace the old one.. Going to return the light and I still want to replace the stock driver with the MeanWell.. Trying to get more professional opinions before I attempt that tho.. So far, I am hearing to get the HLG-240H-54B.. The 150H (150W) doesnt have the correct current so I'd have to go with the 240H (240W) due to the output current and voltage to match correctly. Can't wait to try it out!
End of week..
So I got a new Mars Hydro TS 1000 in.. It comes with a Moso driver instead of the old Juson driver.. Hmm.. Ok.. Seems to not heat up as much.. The diodes still get hot, but the lack of the driver heat should help keep things cool.. Nice... I am able to raise the light back up and run her at 100% power.. I went ahead and tied the branches down a little more.. There are 2 that are still staying a little short.. But I think it's the way I started the whole LST process.. I should have tied down a different 90° angle instead of the angle I used.. But live and learn.. Wont use that way again lol.. Other than that, the flowers are forming nicely.. Happy happy happy.. Next week will begin flower! Niceeee.. On to the next!!!...
Beginning of week..
Got my new light in.. Actually waiting on another to come in.. Alot more powerful and im hoping to just run it at 75% power at the maximum to help with temps.. They are getting a bit high. AC can only do so much here.. But she is flowering for sure now.. Stretching should be noticed this week as well.. I went down on the FloraGro to .5mL/L and added FloraBloom .5mL/L.. Do that for a couple weeks then cut out the FloraGro completely and begin adding Kushie Kush (bloom booster from Advanced Nutrients 🤢 lol) that stuff is pretty solid actually lolol. But this should be an interesting week for sure.. Can't wait for the stretch!!! Or the new light to come in! Mars Hydro TS 1000 will just be a back up if this new light is good enough.
Mid week..
Got a new light in. Still going to keep the Mars Hydro.. I also got a spare driver for it in case it craps out AGAIN.. But I think I'm going to just keep the Mars Hydro as a spare itself unless I end up getting another tent to run.. But the WAKYME J-2000 is a nice light! It runs nice and cool.. Idk why other lights dont do this!!! I'm not worried about noise.. You already have fans running so the little computer fans are nothing! Dimmer is bad ass.. No on/off switch, but the dimmer does turn it off.. I am very happy with this light so far.. It does seem to have alot more 6000K (blueish) to it than the Mars Hydro TS 1000.. But this is a bad ass light.. I'm very happy woth it and other lights have so many different issues that just wont work for me.. This one has everything on point.. Just hope its built to last.. Sure seems like it so far!... Anyways.. I defoliated/lollipopped a little bit more.. That should be the last time.. Sure hope she stretches soon.. She is pretty.. Now I'm seeing calyxes that are purple also.. Not just the stiples... Such a beautiful, colorful plant. I feel like she may turn out just like the pics that ILGM has on their website.. Still can't get over how awesome this light is!
Almost end of week..
She is already bringing out some gorgeous colors on her calyxes!! And trichome production is also beginning.. Mostly on the new calyxes.. But some are popping up on the leaves.. Very sweet, fruity scent. Love it!
End of week..
So I went ahead and defoliated a little more and also adjusted the branches a little more.. Judt trying to keep them from smothering eachother. Should be good till harvest now. I hope flower production isn't as slow as veg was.. Shouldn't be.. They are already stacking a bit.. But still haven't seem much of a stretch. Still hoping she stretches a bit, but if not, it shouldn't be an issue. Still happy with this grow so far. The smell is very dank! Fruity.. Sweet.. Gonna be a very tasty strain! Not many trichomes just yet.. But still pretty early. The calyxes are purpling at the tips.. I guess from the cooler nights.. May turn out just like the pics from the ILGM website.. The pics just look a little on the low yield side.. But I don't need a pound of it.. I'm happy with a couple ounces per plant! Next, I wanna see how big I can get a photoperiod in this 2x2 with this light.. Should be interesting. Anyways.. On to the next week....
Beginning of week...
This week I'm dropping the Armor Si (Silica) and adding Advanced Nutrients' Kushie Kush (bloom booster).. Only at half strength for this week.. She is happy and healthy.. Trichomes are busting out everywhere. Smells delicious.. Cant wait to see how she turns out in the end!!!
Almost mid week..
She is not much of a stretcher.. Unless something stressed her.. She is stretching, just.. Sloooowly lol.. And not very much.. But looking at the last couple weeks she is stretching noticeably.. Should still yield a decent amount. Smells fucking delicious!
Mid week..
Yeah, I'm assuming she isn't going to stretch much more than she has.. Unless some sort of odd, late flower stetch decides to pop up.. But I doubt it.. Still not a bad thing.. She still has more than enough time and room to keep stackin and fattening up! But she seems happy asf to me.. One of the tops (pic) has some clawing goin on.. Like my Purple Lemonade did.. From nitrogen toxicity... But it's just one top.. None of the othet tops have this going on.. And it's literally just 2 or 3 leaves at tge very very top.. As long as I don't see it pop up anymore, I'm just going to keep feeding her like I've been.. If it does get worse or spreads anywhere else, I'm going to go down on the FloraMicro since it has the most nitrogen.. But at least my last grow (Purple Lemonade Autoflower which was VERY nitrogen sensitive) taught me how to spot and quickly correct the issue! No time for failure! Lol...
Next day..
She is gonna yield a bit more than the white widow for sure. She is getting chunky fast! Trichomes everywhere.. So glorious lol
End of week..
Pretty happy with this week. Her slow veg growth didn't seem to affect her flower development.. She does have some weird flower structure.. And some pretty big new single fingered fan leaves.. As if she was "revegged" or something.. Very much covered in trichomes.. And I think I should cut down on the FloraMicro next week.. She has a COUPLE tops with clawed leaves.. See if that keeps it from spreading.. Guess she may be a little nitrogen sensitive.. Or I should have just cut down the FloraGro sooner but I'm going to go up on the Kushie Kush (bloome booster) and cut out all FloraGro and just give the FloraBloom.. Along with doubling up on the FloraNectar and just still just the recommended amount of Floralicious Plus.. And that's a wrap.. On to the next week!...
Beginning of week..
Such weird bud structure.. Love the smell.. Fruity asf.. Since nights haven't been as cool as they were before, the colors seem to have stopped on the calyxes. The old ones are still purple, but the newer calyxes don't have any coloring.. Still a pretty mix of purples and greens.. The leaves look like they should not be an issue when trimming whatsoever.. They are huge.. Even at the tip top of the colas, so far.. The lollipopping could have been kept a node or 2 lower.. I should have nothing but massive top colas tho.. I can live with that.. Lol. I'm still finding my sweet spots with alot of things lol.. Trying to use a LUX Meter and convert to PAR to figure out how much my girls are getting. Lately, I've burned a few tops.. Not too bad.. didnt hurt the yield or trichomes too much.. But noticeable.. So I'm trying to find the sweet spot and still be able to just cut the power of the light down, lower the light toward the canopy so I can also avoid the summer heat which is coming.. So far, I can run this light at 50%, but keeping it about 14 inches above the conopy.. By harvest, I should be able to get away with 75% power at about 12-14 inches.. Just one plant and the footprint of the light is pretty wide.. So it should still get branch to branch pretty evenly.. Stoned ramblin hah!
Mid week..
Wow.. These colas are getting massive! She didnt stretch much at all, if any. So, I lollipopped a bit high, in my opinion. But these colas are gonna be so massive, it shouldn't even matter at this point lol. She has ALOT of leaves and they are REALLY getting thick in there.. There isn't much airflow getting around these colas.. I should probably get a fan on there.. Or maybe defoliate a bit.. Not sure really now.. But damn, these colas are HUGE!.. they aren't very long, but holy shit there are getting so fat! Very fruity scent.. Pretty strong but still has plenty of time to get even stronger.. Wow. This autoflower is nothing like the White Widow auto.. That's for sure.. The white widow buds stay kinda small.. Airy.. They must have used a different auto to breed with.. Or maybe the white widow reg. version just isn't a big yielder.. Blah whatever.. This girl needs something changed quick tho.. Either a fan or defoliate more.. Or both.. A growmie just had some bud rot on one of his heavy yielding autos.. Never had the issue before and I don't plan on having it EVER. This is a very good, productive week so far.
Next day..
I had to defoliate for sure.. And even pulled the branches down a bit more to help open her up some. I did not expect these colas to do this at all.. I even raised up my oscillating fan so that it's moving air above and below the canopy pretty well now.. Should be fine 🤞... Another thing.. The leaves are SUPER dark green.. The tops have some clawing and the leaves that are hidden away (mostly sugar leaves) do too.. I brought the FloraMicro down to .66 mL/L but I think I'm going to go down a bit further.. My last grow did this too and I went down to .5 mL/L and still ended the run with the issues.. So.. Damn.. Should I just cut it out completely? The colas are already so damn huge.. I just need them to swell up a bit and I can already tell I'm gonna be more than happy with the outcome. I guess I will just bring it down to .33 mL/L.. Eaiser to measure out that way for me too.. She shouldn't struggle or even notice any change.. The only thing I could see hurting is the lack of the Calcium in the FloraMicro.. But I'm going to see if bringing the Micro down that much will help this claw crap from spreading.. So still very happy with this run.. Not bad, ILGM.. Not bad at all..
End of week..
Yeah definitely going down to .33mL/L on the FloraMicro.. I'm sure she will be fine till harvest. No other issues should pop up. She is looking and smelling gorgeous as fuuuuck! She is already so dense and thick.. This is gonna be a nice harvest.. On to the next!...
Beginning of week..
Wow she is doing wome amazing things! Such fat, dense colas... Not very long but damn this girl is thick in all the right places 😍.. The calyxes that first formed are pretty fat too. This is some weird bud structure.. I'm pretty sure she is making more calyxes on top of the old calyxes.. Like foxtailing.. But not foxtailing.. Well, I wouldn't think so, at least.. The temps have never even hit 85F. My last grow did the same and temps were perfect. So I'm thinking it is just genetics.. Pretty tho.. And very frosty!.. This is a very interesting grow.. And love this strain so far. Very fruity, sweet scent. So early into flower and amazing things are already happening!
Almost mid week..
I never knew a leaf could grow out of a calyx.. Fuckin weird.. I'll try to update tomorrow (mid week) with a pic of it. The trichomes on this girl are gorgeous and everywhere.. I can't wait to give her a taste!
Mid week..
So lately the runoff has been coming out at 6.5+ pH.. I've been mixing up my nutes/water at 6.0 - 6.1 pH to bring it down.. So far, no luck.. Guess I'll try to bring it down to 5.8 pH till the runoff goes back to where I need it at. No issues as far as I can tell. Some fat colas.. Not sure if she's foxtailing from heat or genetics.. I'm wondering if I should raise the light up a bit.. The LUX meter says I'm getting 28000 LUX at the center or the plant and about 26000 LUX around the outside colas.. I do see some yellowing but its only on the newest growth.. Like the leaves that are coming out of the calyxes.. Which I would guess is just from the lack of Nitrogen while she grew those?? I have no idea.. But the leaves that are highest on tge plant.. And in the center of the footprint of the light, getting the maximum light, no burns or any other issues on the leaves.. Besides the heat stress.. The serrated parts are kinda pointing upward.. I'm sure you can see it in the pics... Damn heat. But she is still looking amazing.. Still smelling amazing.. I couldn't be happier.. ILGM definitely stepped up their game from the White Widow Autoflower to this Zkittlez Autoflower.. Abkut halfway through flower with this one and I can already tell she is gonna produce probably about twice as much as the White Widow auto which was grown in a gallon pot.. Coco.. Gen Hydro.. Same shit.. But this one just.. Wow.. And I'll say it once more.. Not bad at all.. Lol
End of week.. Forgot to update yesterday.. But things are still movin along.... The fan leaves are getting crispy and some tips are breaking off.. Not sure if I'm burning my plants or not. This happens every grow. Doesn't seem like the nitrogen toxicity has been getting any worse. Leaves are still dark green but the clawing hasn't gotten worse either like my past grow. 2 grows in a row were very nitrogen sensitive. Hmm.. Heat is definitely causing stress.. Now the curling upward has gone from just the serrated part of the leaves to the entire leaf.. Also some serious foxtailing.. I hate foxtails. Makes my girly look so weird.. She is still gorgeous.. But yeah.. That is this weeks update.. On to the next!...
Beginning of week...
Just trying to keep her happy till harvest.. The runoff pH keeps coming out at 6.5 pH when I'm mixing my nutes at 6.0 - 5.8 pH.. So today I watered (no nutes) at 5.6 and it came out at 6.3.. Lol.. Finally.. Took like a whole week to get it down that much.. But I guess we shall see tomorrow if it stays down. Not seeing any issues other that the heat really...
Next day..
Mixed nutes at 6.0 today and the runoff came out at 6.5 again 🤷🤷🤷... Story of my life. Gonna keep trying I guess.. Can't water with too low of pH..
Mid week..
Damn pH man.. Yesterday I watered at 5.5 (on accident.. Didnt mean to bring it down that low.. But I said fuck it and went with it).. Runoff came out at 6.3.. Ok.. so maybe I'll water today at 5.8 pH and just slowly bring it back up to 6.2 or 6.3.. That range.. But today, going in at 5.8.. The runoff still came out at 6.5.. I give up.. Just gonna wing it till harvest.. The heat has also destroyed the leaves a bit.. All the top fan leaves feel like shit.. Crispy as all fuck.. Taco'd.. Ugh.. I'm pretty sure she has some light burn in all of this too.. Buds are still goin strong tho.. Hell, these colas don't even need to swell much.. I'm happy with the size of them already! This new light is just taking some time for me to dial it all in.. Right now it's at about 50% power, 12 inches above the canopy. It was running at 75%.. I'm returning my LUX meter because it's reading ALOT lower numbers than what I'm seeing on GrowWeedEasy dot com.. Gonna order the one she uses.. But damn these are gonna be some fat colas when this girlie is done.. One more week of feeding after this week and then I'm gonna pull out the FloraKleen! Can't wait to get this girl hung and start a new project!
End of week..
Runoff pH is still a little screwy.. Light burn isn't TOO too bad.. But it is a little bad.. And the heat stress.. Ugh.. But I got a new LUX Meter and it should help me get things dialed in with this light.. But even after those 3 fucked up things.. She is still producing some super fat and very sweet colas.. Jeez.. Incredible... On to the next...
Beginning of week...
Heat stess.. Light burn.. Runoff pH is out of wack.. But the colas are still so freaking massive! This will be the last week of feeding.. Then flushing for 2 weeks!.. FloraKleen is waiting for me already lol.. But the trichomes are already looking pretty close to being ready.. From what I can see.. There are about 50% cloudy/milky and 50% clear.. I can find an amber here and there.. But I think I've got this timed out perfectly!.. Cant wait to taste these super fat, dense, fruity smelling nugs! Damn she is doing magical things even after the abuse she has endured.. Awesome strain ILGM.. For sure...
Mid week..
Found a few nanners here and there.. Ugh.. Understandable tho.. All the heat and light stress.. Whoops.. No seeds that I can see yet.. Just going to finish up this week by feeding at only 50% and pretty much cutting out almost 100% of Nitrogen. And not sure why.. But aldo added some Vitamin B Complex.. Its a sublingual liquid that you put under your tongue for energy or some shit.. I only put .25 mL/3 L.. Again.. Idk why lol.. Now that I have cranked the power of the light down, the leaves have kinda slowed down on the suicide rate lol.. Not as many are trying to curl up anymore.. Still kinda curled.. But they have actually opened up a little since. She is looking pretty good.. Still been watering/feedingnat 5.8 pH and the runoff is barely coming out at 6.3 pH still.. Once I see it go down to 6.0.. Then I will make the proper adjustments needed to try and keep it at 6.3.. But still no stress frok this weird pH issue crap I got goin on.. I just need to get some new coco/perlite and a new fabric pot.. Good thing I have already got all that stuff stocked up! But this has been an interesting grow for sure.. I'm ready to chop her down and see what she tastes like! And start a new girlie of course! Lol.. But as for this week.. I will have one more feed day and I am just going to do it exactly how I did today, then begin the 2 week flush! Trichomes are exactly where they need to be.. Even the trichomes on the foxtail calyxes are gettin there pretty quick too.. As far as I can tell so far... Awesome strain from ILGM.. Awesome as fuuuuck! Lol
End of week..
Since I've turned the power of the light down, the leaves haven't been dying off like I thought they would be because of all the heat stress and light burn.. But tomorrow I begin the flush! Today was not a feed day so I guess I already began lol.. I used rain water (7.0 pH 30 PPM) but of course I pH'd it down to 5.8 so that the runoff would come out 6.3.. Idk why this isn't clearing out.. But tomorrow I will use the FloraKleen in pH'd rain water.. This week I may water in the AM and the PM to help flush out medium quicker. Gonna try and use just rain water for the flush.. If I run out of rain water I will use distilled.. Either of the 2 should be a good choice! But I'm so excited to be harvesting soon! On to the next!!!...
Beginning of week..
Kinda started the flush yesterday.. I went ahead and watered with only pH'd rain water (30 PPM 5.8 pH) once in the AM and once in the PM.. Today I went ahead and flushed some FloraKleen in there too.. Samething.. Rain water pH'd to 5.8 and PPM at 60.. Nanners are everywhere.. No seeds as far as I can tell.. Some may be forming but still young. Ugh.. I guess Ill blame the heat and light stress lol
Mid week..
Just been givin her pH'd rain water.. Used up all the rain water so tomorrow I'm gonna be using distilled water.. I would think it should help pull minerals and whatnot out of the medium.. That's my take on it at least.. But yeah, I been pullin off nanners like crazy.. I think I may have even came across a whole male pollen sack or flower.. Or penis.. Whatever the fuck lol.. Damn.. Just one more week after this.. Ugh.. I better not get any seeeeeeds.. Or at least not alot.. I can live with a couple here and there..
End of week...
Tomorrow begins the last week! I will harvest that next Monday morning and hang to dry.. But as for now, I ran out of distilled water... But I just got some fresh rain water.. Usually I get it around 30 PPM.. This time it rained for a couple days straight.. Got it down to 8 PPM.. Wow.. That's a first for me.. So her final week she will get nothing but 8 PPM rain water.. I thought of using FloraKleen once more.. But the runoff is already at 70 PPM.. Never been able to get it that low! I wonder if it has any affect on the taste or anything.. Bout to find out tho! I this strain was a bit heat sensitive.. Topped out at maybe 83F.. But mostly around 80F or 81F.. Foxtails.. Nanners like crazy.. So far, I dont see any seeds.. Any mature seeds as far as I can tell. I think I found one trying to mature and I cut the entire foxtail branch (about 1 inch of calyxes) off lol.. And as for all the nanners.. I removed the entire calyx they would be coming out of.. Hoping to not leave any there to just keep releasing pollen.. I need to make sure I scrub this tent down pretty good before I start another lovely lady.. Im sure plenty of pollen has already made its way around the plant and tent and whatnot.. But like I said, so far no seeds.. Just one more week to go and she gets chopped.. She has all colors that cannabis can make throughout her canopy.. There are pinks, reds, blues and purples.. So gorgeous.. Just like the picture they advertise.. So I guess the other breeders stole ILGM's picture.. Lol nah idk.. But anyway.. I may do the '48 hours of darkness' thing before harvest.. But I want her to be good and watered before chopping. I dont want her to start drying out till she is chopped.. I know some people like to do it that way.. But not this guy lol.. Drying conditions aren't the greatest for cannabis.. But I make due with what I have and have figured out what works best for me.. Even if I have to use a humidifier in the same room as the cardboard box I dry in.. And just run a little computer fan to pull air thru the box SLOWLY.. I even just bough an AC Infinity USB fan with High Hedium and Low settings.. Niceeee.. And I can even plug something else into it.. It has a USB output also.. Not sure what yet.. But I'm sure I could figure something out lol.. Anyways.. On to the LAST week!... Lol
Beginning of week...
7 days till chop! Can't wait! Gorgeous pinks, reds, purples and blues all throughout the canopy.. I'm guessing the pH issue I've been having helped bring them ALL out lol.. I hear blues come out at lower pH.. Purples come out at neutral pH and reds come out at higher pH.. I may have that backwards.. But that's the idea of pH and the colorful calyxes. I was gonna flush with nothing but cold water in the PM.. But that's alot of work.. And she already has some nice colors.. Blah..
Mid week..
Such a colorful plant.. Can't really see it underneath all the trichomes lol.. But you can literally find every shade of every color cannabis plants produce.. Gorgeous pinks.. Bright reds.. Dark blues and purples.. Trichomes are kinda trippin me out.. This part always kinda gets confusing to me.. And the foxtails help add to the confusion.. They say not to check the trichomes on the foxtails because obviously they are newer calyxes and the older calyxes are the ones we are going for since there are plenty more of them.. But alot of these foxtails already have quite a bit of milky/cloudy trichomes.. That's how my ILGM White Widow autoflower was too.. I wonder if the same genetics were used for breeding in the ruderalis genes.. Idk.. But on the older calyxes I can see a few amber, alot of milky/cloudy and a few clear. She should be getting chopped right on time.. I could push her another week.. But there are a massive amount of nanners.. Ive tried plucking as much as I can.. But the next day I see more.. Sucks.. I just want to get her down and into drying so I can clean out this tent and equipment and set up my 2x4 tent with my Optic SLIM 320H. Can't wait.. And I can't wait to taste the Zainbow (Rainbow.. But with a Z.. Idk lol).. One more update then I'm cuttin the power to the lights and probably not going to water her either till harvest.. Guess we shall see what move I make when the time comes.. Story of my fuckin life...
Almost end of week...
No pics for the end of this week.. I started the 48 hours of darkness before harvest.. Lets see if it does anything... I wantered her this morning.. I cut the lights out at 5pm.. So she got 12 hours of light today instead of 18 hours.. Thus.. Beginning the 48 hours of darkness before harvest.. And it should line up perfectly.. I'll be home at 5pm to chop, trim some, hang and begin drying!!! So happy! Next update will be the harvest!
End of week..
No pics.. No update.. She has been in total darkness for exactly 24 hours (5pm).. She hasnt been watered or even peaked at once.. Tomorrow at 5pm she gets a quick photo shoot amd gets chopped, a little trimmed (just the fan leaves) and hung to dry! Got my drying area ready for take off!.. On to the... HARVEST!!!!...
The buds came out airy.. Alot of foxtails and alot of nanners. Temps NEVER made it up to 85F.. Maybe 82F at the most and it never sat there for long... Pretty nitrogen sensitive in flower.. Short but FAT plant.. Colas were massive.. Just wish they were more dense.. But they high is nice.. I harvested a little late due to checking the foxtails instead of the calyxes that mattered lol.. Ugh.. But not bad for buy 10 get 10 free. Id grow again. Got 86 grams dry.. I'm happy..
