No Topping - 203.9 g - 1 plant

Woohoo! Finally starting my second diary😁 Although this will not be a fully documented grow as I am starting with a clone that was vegged for a little over a month! She’s a wedding cake from Barney’s farm! This strain needs no introduction hehe My buddy just so happened to have this extra clone that was destined to be trashed. With my last grow now curing and having an open tent I was able to adopt this lady🙂 Unfortunately, he did not label his clones🙃so there is a possibility this plant could hermie...But with the already large starting size of the plant, it was hard to pass up the opportunity. She was slightly neglected and has a few deficiencies so I’m hoping I can restore her health. However, within minutes of owning the plant, I went straight to beating the absolute crap out of her lmao. Super cropping and defoliating as well as transplanting into a fabric pot. She’s been through a lot. But it’s “tough love” as they say lol. As soon as the tent fills out a bit more and she’s healthy again. I will flip her into flower. It’s crazy to think that literally 7 days ago. I received this free, untrained clone. To see how it has completely transformed in such a short amount of time is really amazing and I’m very proud of the canopy I was able to achieve😁 For this grow I wanted to trying growing a plant without topping, as my last grow was a 8 cola mainline. I wanted to try a different method. Already, I gotta say this method of HST/LST looks a lot more promising! I installed a trellis net that came with my grow tent that I haven’t used it until now. It seems really flimsy and I’ve never a scrogged a plant before so it’s another learning curve to embrace:) I hope to send her into flower next week. Until then I will just be growing her horizontally. As well as slightly adjusting down our feeding schedule this week. As I am writing this, we are on the start of day 1 of flower. I received an untrained, free clone 9 days ago. And in that time I was able to completely transform her canopy! I’m really curious to see how she forms over the next few weeks. This is easily my favourite part about growing😁😁 Not too much to do now other than minding my feed schedule. I will be keeping my temps and humidity relatively similar to veg for the first couple of weeks. I also removed the trellis my tent came with. It was far to flimsy and the squares were too big. I definitely will consider scrogging on my next grow though. Hopefully I don’t end up with colas falling over but I’m sure I will regret not installing a trellis lol. Hoping everything this runs smoother this time around. This is my second grow so I’m hoping I can do better than my last diary:) Thanks for stopping by💚✌️

As I am writing this we are on the start of week 2. Everything has been going really smoothly for the most. She’s exploded with growth in the last week😁 There really isn’t much for me to do which is exactly how I want things to go lol I am really tempted to do some defoliation as the canopy is getting very dense but, I do want to want until week 3 before defoliating. We should be getting some bud sites forming pretty soon! I’m getting more excited with each day watching this beautiful girl do her thing😁😁 Thanks for checking out my diary💚✌️

As I am writing this week are the start of week 3 of flower. So far this girl has been on auto pilot since we flipped to flower. And I’m happy to report that there are no deficiencies so far🤞 She desperately needs some defoliation but I have to wait until her stretching period is over before I do any leaf stripping. Her flowers started becoming more pronounced just a few days ago which seems slow compared to the last grow I did. I feel like this will definitely be a 9 week strain. Way she goes I guess lol I can’t wait until she starts stacking and the smells starts coming in😁✌️

As I am writing this we are on the start of week 4 of flower. For the most part things have been going smoothly. I had a slight calcium deficiency last week. I tried backing off the cal/mag to reduce my nitrogen levels and she did not like lol she seems to be doing better now. Did a minor defoliation to allow more air flow. I could’ve defoliate her a lot more but I want to try leaving a bit more fan leaves this grow to see how the lower buds develop. I am just going to let her do her thing for the next few weeks as well as gradually increasing my ppm. Hoping she continues to grow smoothly🤞✌️💚

As I am writing this we are on the start of week 5 of flower. I slightly burned this girl last week with an excess of potassium but it wasn’t too bad so I can’t complain. For this week I lowered my lights and will keep monitoring my feed schedule. Still not that many smells yet but I’m sure it’ll start soon. Thanks for stopping by✌️💚

As I am writing this we are on the start on week 6 of flower. I ended up over feeding this week as my ppm meter failed on me and thought I could “feel out” my nutrient mixture. This is also my first grow in a soilless medium so I’m definitely still learning a lot. It could’ve been a lot worse so I can’t complain:) Going to do a finally defoliation at the end of the week. Lowered the lights as well as lowering my temps and humidity as much as possible. We’re getting so close now. Hoping things continue to run smoothly. Cheers✌️💚

As I am writing this we are on the start of week 7. I’m very pleased with the training on this plant. To have a completely flat canopy without any topping, just LST/HST is really impressive. She looks very similar to my mainline grow with way less veg time. I’m not bashing on mainlining in any way, it’s a great method:) Did a heavy defoliation at day 42. I’m pleased to report that even with minor defoliation up until this point the buds still developed nicely, of course there were a few undeveloped branches which I will attempt to take clones from. I did end up burning her unfortunately when my Tds meter failed but being my first soiless grow, I did expect some hiccups. Overall she’s fattening up very nicely and smells really fruity. She’s looking like an 8 week strain but I will see where my trichomes are at come that time. This is the last week I will be running nutrients before starting the flushing stage. Starting the flushing stage😁 as I am writing this we are on the start of week 8. I will just leech the medium for the first few days before doing a proper flush. I raised my light back up as I burned my girl a bit. Not a big deal, just wanted to see what my lights could really do. Overall for my second grow my goal was to do better than my first grow and I managed to do that:) Really hoping to see some colours in the next few days, there’s already some purple forming on the sugar leaves.

As I am am writing this I have officially cut down my second grow🤘🤠 I’m really proud of this grow as I managed to get a completely even canopy without any topping! Low stress training and a bit of suppercropping is all you need:) Been flushing for the last week and a half now. Did a heavy flush during week 8 so, she’s definitely eating the nutrients left in her leaves now. She actually has a bit of purple sugar leaves towards the tops which was nice to see:) however, I have seen some really purple phenos of this strain before. I have cut the plant as a whole and will aim for a 10-14 day drying time, room temperature at 60% humidity. Really excited to smoke this girl! Her terps are really fruity and exotic. Not to mentions the buds are very frosty and super dense :o Will report back with a dry weight in the next couple weeks:)

As I am writing this I have just trimmed and jarred my second grow🤠 I managed to pull 203.9 grams. Nearly half a pound off 1 plant, which I am extremely proud of😁 I haven’t smoked her yet as I don’t want to spoil the experience. I’ll wait a good 3 weeks to a month before enjoy this lovely lady. I did unfortunately find a couple undeveloped seeds. She must have thrown nanners early on which I thought was odd because I didn’t even flower for 9 weeks. I guess she just really wanted to come down quick. So I can’t be too mad at her about that. Overall, for my second grow I couldn’t have been happier with the results.
