King and Kong are two Gorilla Cookie autos from Fast Buds. I need to settle down to a two-in-two-out cycle. The previous grow is three 3 gal pots. In order to fit them, King will have to go into a 1 gal and Kong will go into a 3 gal pot. Then after these two I can go to the optimum of two 3 gal pots each time. I have 5 already, but I’ll need 5 more to do a complete perpetual cycle at that size. That’s with two pots in the wash.
The other thing I’ve realised in this perpetual system is that I am accounting for 4 grows in a 12 week cycle. But the strains I am buying are tending to be ready at 9-10 weeks. I think it makes sense to keep 12 week’s atm. It means the flowering tent doesn’t get too full as I am removing the previous grow early and giving the next grow more room. If it looks emtpy and there is room I’ll shorten the cycle to 10 weeks.
UPDATE: both seeds popped after about 5 days. Direct to substrate is still a very good option. Only ever had two failures when I put them directly into preused soil in the last grow (Three Sisters).
