Mr.Frosty.Budz genetics

Back with a flowering run on some Mr.frosty.budz genetics, check him out on IG Og Crack Frost (Og Kush x Godbud/Green Crack) Green Yeti (Big Foot x Encino Man) Iceman (x2) (Og Kush x Encino Man) *Encino man (Freezeland x GG4) After collecting some of this breeders seed over the last year I figured it was time to run a few to test this stuff out. I originally started 6 seeds and all popped but one and the fifth plant was a bagseed tester that sadly ended up growing balls so it got the chop. The other four plants all showed female preflowers a few weeks ago despite the Green Yeti and Ice Man seeds being regs, I had just transplanted them into the 5g buckets and let them chill for a week to make sure they were ready to be flipped to 12/12 flowering mode. I had just added a new Parfactworks hb1500 to the grow room over the holidays and the boost from the new qb lights along with the preflowers stretch had these plants growing 2-3 inches per day during the first few days after flip, they pretty much all grew right up to the lights which made me raise the lights back a few inches, we have tops and budsites everywhere just looking happy as could be. My old blurple served me real well for the first few runs I did but this new qb light just smokes the blurple in every way. Looks like I'm about to smash my previous yields, this is gonna be another fun one.

The stretch continued until the end of the week and the lights went up a few inches again to accommodate, the OG Crack Frost is sneaking up on 4 feet tall with the Green Yeti not far behind. The OG had a nice node spacing until I flipped to 12/12 and then it just went crazy, Green Yeti has a bit more of an easier to manage structure and I've left the Iceman plants alone after topping as they didn't respond as well as the others, left to grow they're happy now and look to be making some fat main colas, they didn't go insane with stretching on flip either but they're like thicker smaller built plants. About to get interesting as they shoot pistils and begin to fatten up.

The gals stopped stretching and are now in full stack mode, i was a bit worried about how much they all stretched but now that they're starting to stack it's starting to look like they'll fill in quite nicely. They're drinking every 2-3 days now just loving life kicking it into full bloom. Looking like this will easily be my best yield if the rest of the run goes smoothly, the new lights are making all the difference in only a month since I've gotten them. Can't wait til they start stanking

All stack this week, These plants got out of hand when I added the new light just before flip and they really could've used another topping and a bunch more LST ties to keep the canopy under control, I didn't do that because the Iceman plants didn't respond well to the first cutting but the Green Yeti and Og Crack Frost did extremely well yet I didn't want to hold up the grow any longer and didn't expect such wild stretch from just adding a new light, so I left em and they're kinda wild,stretchy, and ugly as a result lol, but they're gonna give me some decent yields and big buds. Kinda just wish I trained em a bit better, lesson learned. Just starting to get stank now too, the Iceman plants smell amazing like citrus candy right now, the Og Crack Frost is just dank smelling while the Green Yeti is kinda woody and dank so far more than anything. This is always my favourite stage in growing. They start to produce terpenes for the buds so you get a hint of how they may end up although they can easily and often do end up far different to how the initial smells lead you to think they'll be. You also get to see what the bud structure will be like and can see how they're gonna fill in for the finish. Plants change and can put on a good chunk of weight overnight at this stage so it's always awesome doing your first daily check on the gals every morning. Just having a blast watching this run finish now, she's been my easiest one yet so far. Always love rolling the dice on some new unheard of breeder stuff like this and seeing it do well. Can't wait to hit the finish line on this one.

Not a whole lot has changed this week, they're starting to smell a bit more now and just starting to frost up with trichome production, the swell continues.

Here comes the frost, both Iceman plants are looking just about ready to flush, Green Yeti and Og Crack Frost are just starting to get some heavy frost now as well, they'll both go the full 9 weeks if not more. Smooth sailing now. I have the plants in my furnace room so now that we're into late stage flower I make sure to open the room door to let the plants get cool at night which is already starting to bring color. Can't wait to see how they finish fading over the next two/three weeks.

Pure stack and frost production this week, smells are developing more too now. Got the basement pretty stank. Iceman and Green Yeti are both looking ready to flush and Og Crack Frost isn't far behind. Think I'm gonna start flush now and let these finish up for the next two weeks. So close to the finish line. First week of flush is done, Right on time for Iceman and Green Yeti but Og Crack Frost is gonna go another week or two. Iceman and Yeti are both showing a few ambers and mostly cloudy tricks, Iceman is turning into a more gassy citrus while Yeti is just getting more dank and Og Crack Frost is like a softer dank peachy smell for now, probably all gonna change a bit for the end. We'll see.

Thought they would be finished up by the end of this week but it was clear pretty early that 3 of them were gonna need a few more weeks so I cut the one Iceman that was finished and fed the other 3 the same as usual, restarting my flush on the last 3 at the beginning of week 10 now, they're close now. Just waiting for them to get perfect. Can't wait

Nothing but cruise control this week just hitting em with the final flush, they're all getting some nice fade colors now across the whole plants as the last of the stored nutes gets used up and the breakdown of chlorophyll begins. They put on a bit more chunk but they're pretty much done filling in as the trichomes go all cloudy with some ambers showing now. Few more days and these will be down, maybe one more final blast of flush water and then a few days of drying out followed by a few days in the dark and that's all folks. The first Iceman came down about two weeks ago now as it was quite abit quicker than the second one but the second one has significantly larger buds, Iceman was one of the easiest strains I've done so far, only issue was it got quite stressed when trying to top and train with LST, really didn't seem to like being trained but otherwise this stuff grows itself. Smelled delicious and sweet during the full grow, almost like a sweet purple kush will smell but the taste is different,the OG Kush parent is really in your face, like there is no question that this stuff comes from OG but somewhere along the lines between the Freezeland x GG4 Encino Man cross of the other parent a distinct flowery almost lavender subtle sweetness really comes through and adds to that classic OG Kush taste and smooths it out nicely. It reminds me of something between Pink Kush and Purple Kush. Very impressed with how this stuff came out and I'm glad to have more to grow in the future. Down to the Og Crack Frost and the Green Yeti now, not quite ready yet so they got a few more blasts of molasses flush water in the last week, could cut now as the amber is coming in heavily but I want to let them pretty much max out and give the lower buds time to get nice and full of thc. They haven't really bulked up alot more over this week but they have stacked on more frost so I'll take that. Still smelling great all around, the OG Crack Frost smells beautifully fruity while the Green Yeti's garlic funk seems to have tamed down a bit and it's more just dank now, can't wait to see how these ones taste. Flush is on point and has been going for almost two and a half weeks now, should make for some smooth smoke after the dry/cure. I'm just letting them drink up the last bit of water I gave them and then it's into the dark for 2 days before getting the chop. Should be down by the end of week 12. Again this run has been a treat. OG Crack Frost grew like a dream, she's the biggest plant I've done so far and the best sativa leaning strain I've done hands down. I'm not the biggest fan of working with super stretchy quick growing plants like this as it felt like it was too quick to train properly and they just take over your grow space but man this one yielded super well and the smoke is pure mildly citrusy super potent sativa 🔥 Think this one is headed for the keeper list tbh. Might have to even use it for breeding in the future. It's just an ass kicker all around that has me seriously impressed so far and I'm only early in the cure still. Can't wait to see how this is in a few weeks from now. Mr.Frosty Budz isn't messing around with his genetics. Stuff is fire and I'm stoked to have more to grow in the future too.

Green Yeti (Bigfoot x Encino Man) This is the stickiest stuff I've grown so far, very resinous and dank, I think that's the GG4 coming through on the Encino man side. Smells quite complex and odd, very dank almost garlic meat smell hits you first but the finger rub smell is like dank rotten citrus. Somewhat hashy on the smoke with a light earthy meaty taste on the exhale. An instant indica buzz hits ya pretty hard behind the eyes with the first few rips of the Yeti, very potent and it doesn't take long for that buzz to become heavy. Good ko medicine, gotta be pretty much 100% indica. Not sure on which cut of Bigfoot this came from as there's a few different ones out there, probably the sweet seeds one where they used hash plant x grimace and this is kinda hashy and very resinous. She's a bit of an odd one Terp wise smelling like what you'd imagine an actual Green Yeti smelling like yet she's quite enjoyable, the potency and ease of growth/yield makes Green Yeti easily the kind of strain that could be a staple in the grow room for a little while, I'll be sprouting some more of these in future runs 100%
