Soaked seed in Oregon’s Only Bigfoot overnight. Then planted into the soil. She broke the surface in 24 hours. I’ve been wanting to try this strain, and now is the time.
Transplanted earlier in the week to a 2.5qt pot. Added light nutrients and Bigfoot, for root stimulation. In a while I will transplant to a 5 gallon Radicle Bag.
I topped her 2 days ago, at the 5th node. I’ll be transplanting later in the week, as I just Watered last night. I’ll be transplanting to a 5 gallon Radicle Bag. No Bigfoot this week, but I’ll include it when I transplant. I’ve increased nutes slightly. 2tsp of Big Bloom and 1tsp of Grow Big.
I transplanted into a 5 gallon Radicle Bag, with 1tsp of Bigfoot, for root stimulation.
She recovered from topping, and I will be applying the SCROG net soon.
Put the scrog net on midway through the week. Internodal spacing is short, and it looks like a fair amount of defoliation may be necessary. In a few weeks I’ll switch to flower. Timing is up to the Cinderella, as she’s the fastest grower.
She’s establishing herself nicely. I gave one last shot of Bigfoot, to help the roots.
I did a mild defoliation midway through the week. I’ll be doing a more complete defoliation before I flip to 12/12.
I defoliated one last time on Sunday and kicked the lighting schedule to flower. She’s recovered from it very quickly. I’ll be training along the net for a few more days, while she stretches a little.
Day 11 of Flower. She’s stretching and recovering from defoliation beautifully. I’ll be doing a final big defoliation in the middle of next week. I can’t wait to see what she smells like in full flower. 😊
I defoliated this week, in the 3rd week of flower. The stretch should be about over. Pistils and bud sites abound. I increased Tiger Bloom. Now we wait.
Almost half done flowering. Shes fully recovered from defoliation. She’s starting to smell pretty darn nice too! The stretch is completed. NOw we wait.
She’s bulking up and smelling nice! Couple more weeks and I’ll be in Blueberry heaven! I added some Cha-ching this week and I’ll be flushing from here.
She’s putting on weight and frost. She still has a while to go. I’m thinking 60 to 63 days. I’ll check trichomes on Tuesday. Not a super strong smell, but she’s next to Cinderella, which drowns out all other scents. As Martha says, ‘It’s a good thing.” 😊
I can’t wait to harvest this plant. The sheer overwhelming power of the smells coming off Cinderella and White Widow means I have trouble picking out the more subtle scent of Blueberry. So I'm really looking forward to jarring these buds. I’ll be chopping around the end of the week. Might let her go 65.
All in all, Blueberry was a delightful strain to grow. I vegged 6.5 weeks and flowered for 59 days. It was not a fussy plant at all. No nute burn. No issues at all. She got a little bushier than her Blueberry neighbor. Nothing some defoliation couldn’t overcome, making for super dense buds. Even the smallest buds , from way down on the branches were rocks. Yield was good, at just over 2oz. But she really shines after a good cure.
I hung her up with a decent amount of sugar leaf still on, and it took 9 days to dry. I jarred with Boveda 62% packs. I can tell you they really make a difference. After two weeks of curing, the taste and smell are undoubtedly blueberry. When I trimmed, the house reeked of the smell of blueberry scented markers. The smoke is super smooth, and tastes sweet and of berries. My buddy had some. He said smoking it was about as harsh as inhaling the helium from a balloon. The effects are very sedating and happy, with a big body buzz that waves and pulses. It’s not super sleepy, but I harvested before any amber trichs could appear. But the couchlock is strong with this one. I’m typing this from the floor of my kitchen. There aren’t many strains that actually make me happy, but this is one. Probably my new favorite strain for cuddling. Great plant. I’d have to grow some more out, but if the majority turn out this good, this is one worth picking up. Cheap too.000
@Larimar, Glad I could spread some joy.
I was writing the review and thinking about the effects. Then I realized I’d gone from standing, to leaning on the counter, to squatting against the cabinet, to sitting on the floor with my back to the cabinets. Lol. Figured that’d give people the idea better than any description.
@OutForReal, She’s the one I’m looking forward to the most! I can’t wait! I’ve always wanted to try blueberry, but there are so many out there, I didn’t trust the genetics of the stuff in the shops. But I’ve heard seedsman’s is pretty close to original.
@Growersheaven, Thank you! I still can’t get over how strong the blueberry smell and taste are. I mixed some with Northern Lights the other night, and it tasted like a blueberry waffle.
@Stinkfox, Blueberry was the first strain I ever had, lovely effects and quite calming, a day to remember. As always your product looks fantastic Mr Fox. Can't wait to see what you do next, well done!
@Wilstang, I sampled some early last night. If it’s that good quick dried in my oven, I can’t wait for the proper dry and cure! And it definitely tasted like blueberry on the exhale. I’ll be ordering more of these.
@OutForReal, Trichomes are 80 percent cloudy. I prefer mine to have just a few ambers interspersed among the milky ones. I would usually let them get a little more amber, for a sleepy time indica, but I want to experience blueberry in all its potency.
