Week 1. Always a rough week for me waiting for the seed to pop. Using my standard method of damp paper towel in Tupperware of some type, wrapped in a dish towel, and placed on a small heating pad. I have had 100% success with this method as long as the seed was less than 3 years old. These seeds just arrived in the mail last week. 48 from paper towel to rooter puck. Rooter puck time is not slowing down the pace of this young lady. from Seed to first set of true leaves is only 6 days. Phenomenal in my opinion. This concludes week 1 - Germination for me. Next week she will hopefully be moving to her new home and receiving a pair of brand new lights. I cannot wait.

Just a few minor notes as everything appears to be going good so far. 2 Weeks into veg, 3rd node is forming nicely. Another week or two, and the first topping will occur. 3/2/2021 2nd Node Complete 3/4/2021 3rd Node Appearing 3/7/2021 3rd Node Complete The Camera is now taking time lapse photos, so I am trying to be even more careful not to change the position of the plant while checking on it. Or getting caught in the photo lol. We did lose a days worth of Time Lapse shots due to a glitch with the camera system during a power outage. I will have to look at adding this to the UPS.

I raised the light a few inches as this is a very stout plant and I wanted a little more stretch between nodes before topping. Otherwise, we should be topping this plant middle of next week.

Veg Week 4. Excellent week. 6th node appears. Looked at the leaves, and my guess, we are good to top. Topped plant on the 16th. As of 5 days later, the plant appears to have recovered and has started growing nicely again. We should be completing the 2nd topping within 10 days at most if I am correct.

So another relatively quiet week for Cotton Candy Kush this week. Some minor LST adjustments as she grew, but she has recovered extremely well from her topping and is growing nicely. I love watching the time lapse seeing her leaves constantly changing position depending on the light cycle. I am not 100% sure why the one root grew sideways. I wonder if during one of my photo shoots if something got caught when I was putting her back in the pot. Its been this way for a while, and causing no issue so not overly worries. Once she gets into the Bloom tent, it will be even less of a concern. Not much change in height as I have been LSTing her, but I am good with that. Upcoming Plans - I expect with her growth to be topping her very soon again.

This has been another awesome week. She has been doing extremely well. Her recovery time from her first topping, to the point where I could top her again, was almost 2 weeks to the nose. So we have topped her a 2nd time this week. She is now at 4 nodes. I am expecting/hoping to be topping her again for the final time in another 2 weeks. From there, Its Veg time, A Lolli popping, And then Flower Flower Flower. This week she will also be moving into a bigger tent. My bloom tent is currently empty, so I am going to move her over early, get a little more light, and be ready for flower. This also allows me to use the veg tent for my other fresh started grow. Don't worry, I have just installed a camera into the bloom tent, so we will continue with the time lapse videos as best as possible. Some adjustments may be needed as Cotton Grows, but I have already thought ahead and "should" be ready. Notice the "'s around should.

Flower Stretch Question When I flip to flower, she will stretch and about double in size. Does this include all the bare growth I have cleared off during toppings? ie, if the stalk at the bottom is 12" from the bottom to the start of the last topping, does that 12" count in?

Okay, this week, we saw another wonderful week with this young lady. She has recovered so well from Last weeks topping on Tuesday, that her final topping actually occurred this today (sunday). 12 days to recover and grow 4 nodes and 3" of horizontal stretch. Also, thanks to Bloombuster, I was able to math out how much veg growth left I had available before I risk getting too tall for the tent. Using his math, my measurements, and a little playing around, What we have so far is this 2" Of Height to the 1st topping, 3" of length to the 2nd topping, 3" of length to the 3rd topping That gives me currently 8" Of Growth, only 2" of which have been used vertically. I have 25" To work with total plant height, allowing 15" between plant and light at the light's maximum height. So with those numbers in mind, I crunched it, put it in excel, played around, and came out with 5" of growth left available to me vertically I am working with an estimate of 140% additional growth during bloom cycle. As such, we will multiple by 2.4, Original Plant Size and New Growth Included. Math works out as 2" + 6" = 8" + 5" = 13" x 2.4 = 31.2 - 6" = 25.2" So if I am correct, which happens from time to time, I can let he grow to a total of 7" High, 5" higher during veg before I am wise to go to bloom. I estimate this means, watching her previous recovery and growth, I will be putting her to flowing within the next 3 weeks.

This lady has recovered nicely from my 3rd and final hack attack on her. Leaves were so huge, still cannot get over it. Added an Exhale Homegrown Co2 bag to the tent right behind and above her this week as well. I have never used one of these before, but I figured I would give it a shot. More, any, will be good for the plant. Judging by the way she is growing, I imagine she will be hitting her prime height by the end of week 9. Fingers crossed, we will then be going to flower :) Time-lapse lost a days worth of photos. Some user error of some type. Lets just not question it shall we.

So this plant is phenomenal with her recovery abilities. At this point, she recovered from her previous topping only 7 days ago, and grown the final 2 inches I was waiting for. As of 4/26, she is now on 12/12. Additional nutrients will be added to her for her flower period. Time-lapse again had an error, this time, I swear, it was not me. Looks like the camera and server stopped communicating until both were restarted. So as a reference, this plant is now 10 weeks from seed. She has been topped 3 times for a total of 8 crowns. I expect harvest to be approximately 10 weeks from now. But we all know how far expectations can take us.

So we have converted over to 12/12 this week. We have also had a friend join her in the tent. Cotton is the lovely lady on the right. Pink Lemonade, another separate journal, is on the right. In addition, a 3rd Mars TS1000 was added to the bloom tent, making sure both ladies should have decent light. We also started adding 2 new nutrients to the schedule. Big Bud and Bud Candy. First time working with these. Hope they add some nice flavor and size to the buds in the end. Timelapse camera is giving some headaches. No video this week unfortunately, will try to figure it out this week. Keeps shutting itself off a couple times a day. Usually at night, but not always. Hopefully will have more video next week.

Every week this plant amazes me. She is extremely healthy, and is growing, well, like a weed. This week we gained approximately 1 inch height per day. Hopefully this slows down quickly in her 3rd week of flower because space limitations may become a concern. This week, added new RH and Temp monitoring. RH has been pretty good with the humidifier @ ~ 40 - 45%. Awaiting Co2 Monitor to confirm levels of Co2. Set journal to 1 until I can confirm actual amounts supplied by Co2 air bags,. End of next week, trimming time coming for this lady if needed. Right now, in my opinion, she is looking just fine :) FYI, for those wondering, I am using Lucas Formula for nutrient schedule. As such, it will be the same for FloraMicro and FloraBloom from start to finish. Only changes are adding of Big Bud and Bud Candy during flower.

Week 3 of flower. Omg, this girl needs to stop growing really soon lmao, or she has more sativa in her than I planned for. Flowers are opening up nicely, looking like I should see some really nice bud. I am really glad I topped this lady 3 times, gonna have some really nice crowns. Gonna have to do a little more manicuring to her this week as she is starting to fill out quite heavily, and I want to get the best yield I can in my limited space. This has been an awesome grow with these new lights, additional nutrients, and added Co2. Wish I had made the changes one at a time to see what did the most, but I couldn't be that patient lol

So it has been another awesome week with this little lady. Week started off with a final trim. Cleaned up a lot of the big fan leaves blocking bud sites, and she has appears to have loved having it done. The 8 main crowns are all filling in nicely with bud. Had a rough week with temperature, but she has handled it very well compared to others I have going at the moment. Temps in my tent hit over 30 degrees Celsius for 2 days on me even with the room being air conditioned. Heat wave is almost over, until then, will open the tent during her daylight hours. Holding a warm but survivable 27 atm. We have 5 to 6 weeks left of flower left. Most of the work is over, now its just a waiting game. And I hate waiting.

So more of a Grow Diaries question then Growing Question. My lovely plant seems to have hermied on a small section and created unseen pollen pods, which have now pollenated the rest of the plant creating seeds found this week. Do I continue my diary?

if you want to... no obligations here. you can make good quality hash from this plant. Anything involving a sieve or a sift... other plants nearby? or will be in near future before harvest? things to consider... a few nanners isn't going to be bad.. if you had some full 'grapes' that opened up, there's a good chance the entire area of plants is heavily seeded... sometimes it won't produce viable pollen... either way, the seeds will be trash from a self-herming parent even if other plants in area. not a good trait...

So, absolutely craptastic week as seen by the photos. Somewhere, unknown as to exactly where, this "Lady" went and popped 5 balls. Those balls, then spread their love all over the plant. Can we say Seeds. I can. and I sure don't want to. And since this was unseen, and she shares a tent with Pink Lemonade, I am going to have to keep a close eye on her. I would normally have just pulled this plant, but 3 things have stopped me. 1, its way to late to worry about pollenating other plants, 2, Crowns appear to be NOT affected and appear to be going as per normal. 3, I wanna play with the seeds afterwards. Stay tuned for more seedy photos. F Me.

So still trying to figure out what exactly caused this lady to grow her 6 balls. In depth search, I have only found 6 empty sacks, and not 100% where they were exactly. Only one was found still attached to the plant. Possible causes are 1 > There was an issue with a Fan for 3 days which had a small light on it that I did not know about during initial flowering 2 > There may have been a light leak from an intake air vent that was not noticed for a few days. 3 > While working with Colloidal Silver on another project, I may inadvertently transferred some by hand. 4 > A Day of extensive heat may have caused an issue Either way, I got a ton of seeds coming, and surprisingly, still no sign the crowns have been affected. Just branches below. Will be taking this one to the end.

So while I am still getting over the fact she went and seeded up heavily, I am not going to let it stop me. We are into the final weeks. Her main Cola's are still looking decent, however small. Obviously due to her putting energy into seed production. While I don't expect a great smoke, I will find used for her either way. Hash if nothing else. Humidity and Temps have been under much better control now with the new AC Infinity fan installed. Very nice hearing it do its job, or honestly, not hearing it :)

So under normal circumstances, I would be using the hairs as a small sign she is getting somewhat near completion, and that I should be looking closely at the Tri Chromes. Unfortunately, as she pollenated herself, the hairs all changed colors weeks ago, and this is not something I can use to determine readiness. Looking at the tri chromes, I see a lot of cloudy, but still a bit of clear. As per the site where the seeds were acquired, she should be done somewhere around the end of the month. I am not sure if the growth of the seeds will slow this down, however checking the seeds out, they dont appear ready yet, and at this point, I wanna see what I made. My knowledge free estimate is 2 weeks minimum.
