D20 (14/03/2021): Here we are at day 20 from placing seeds between paper towels. During the week, I transplanted them into 3 gallons fabric pots. I made a soil mix of:
- 3/5 of the premium soil I used for seedling which is a mix of coco coir, soil and perlite
- 1/5 of earthworm casting
- 1/10 of bone meal
- 1/10 of pure hen manure
**Note that it's all approximative ratios.
The day before, I brew a tea for 24h to feed the plant after transplanting them:
- 3 tbsp. earthworm casting
- 2 tbsp. pure hen manure
- 1 tbsp. organic marine phytoplankton soil enhancer
- 1 tbsp. organic molasses
**Note that it's all approximative mesures.
I also sprinkled the roots and added Myke mycorrhizae in the hole before transplanting the plants.
Glue Gelato #2 and Banana Kush #2 recovered well after transplanting in bigger pots. Gelato did not and she is behind the others. Hopefully she will recover. I transplanted the plants at day 17 and I think it was to early. I should have wait 3-4 more days.
Hi,
I love the pic with bud growth stages you shared, interesting to see those side by side for a better view and understanding on how cannabis flower mature!
Awesome bud by the way!
Thanks for sharing
@Eauderay, Thanks you very much! Yeah the Gelato grow weird. Short bush that did not really stretch in flower. She have a lot of leaves and all 3 fingers. The pistils of the bud are really tick compare to the other plants and the buds are growing along side to the branch instead of having multiple bud sites. But I'm sure it will be a good smoke ๐๐
Hello there! Looking awesome!
I think you are probably right about light responsable for rust on leaves, often we think it is calmag but in fact it is due to the intense static light on top constantly giving plant a sunburn! The soil and nutrients you have used are very good and amply enough!
When we give organic amendment it takes up to 3 weeks for plants to access some elements, nitrogen being the easiest one. No worries for the one you amended last.
@Eauderay, thanks for your feed back and for the info! It's really appreciated! I read that LED light can cause this kind of burn as it's easy to place them too close from the plant since they don't produce a lot of heat. It's my second grow and first with organic soil and one of the mistake I made is not letting time for my soil to ''cook''. So you are probably right when you say that some nutrient was not already available for the plant. It's completely different than growing with bottle nutrient but I prefer that way, organic! I can't wait to see the final product and compare the smoke of this grow with my previous one! ๐ช๐
