@1Right_Angle, TBH I don't think I'd pick any of the winners that are up there. I know GD staff takes turns in "judging" these contests and I have a feeling it gets a real quick glance depending on the persons mood, Or maybe its just a random number they pick outa a hat and match it up to an image, I also feel they may have a checklist or category for the type of image for 1st 2nd 3rd thus why some images are picked that seem lesser than their peers. On top of this, I don't feel GD staff has the time or resources to judge all these contests fairly or accurately. I get it, its dumb, few months back a troll won 3rd place twice from a video still, on a fake diary on a alternate account, it was blurry and a shit photo, not likely their plant and said it was fastbuds genetics but grew massive like a photoperiod in extended veg. The contest is just as bad as MOTM or any of the others where results are picked at random or based on popularity with no set rules or objectives. Best you can do is always join and when you do win realize it was not based on skill "maybe a bit of skill if it is a nice pic" but chance. more of a lotto ticket then anything. Or just say fuck it, been happening a lot with legacy growers.
