6" Fan in 3x3 Tent

I bought a 6" fan for a 3x3 Vivosun tent and I'm noticing a good mount of negative pressure even at the lowest setting. Do I need to get a 4" fan? There are some vents on bottom sides of the tent. Can I use those to lessen the pressure? Thanks!

Hi! The negative pressure is a good thing and it helps to keep the smells inside the tent. If the pressure is so strong that it starts to bend the poles then you have a problem but even then you might be able to support the poles with additional poles sideways. And yes you can open the vents from bottom to ease the pressure. If you have to buy new something, I suggest you buy inline fan to push air in the tent to relieve the pressure. With this you have more options than just downgrading your extractor fan. You could also circle some of the air from the exhaust fan back in to the tent 🤔

You want negative pressure as that's what keeps the odor in the tent. You don't normally go down in fan size, so I'm not sure if that's a typo or not; either way, I would keep whichever you have as either will do, and is doing what its supposed to. Being able to run it on low speed with lots of negative pressure is also a good thing, as that means low noise and no fan wear on the bearings in it. Opening intake vents will reduce negative pressure since they increase the amount of air that can come in.

Hello.. Hope you are well.. Yes use ur vents if u dont mind the light bouncing out.. I personally close my vents and just se a bit of ducting to hang out of a spare tube hole wit tights on to prevent bugs being sucked in thru pressure.. U cud also put a 4inch fan into this and that wud counteract the vacuuming of the tent.. Stay safe n gud luck on ur greens.. 👍🍀
