How does a heatwave affect a newly sprouted seedling? I sprouted about 8 seedlings in soil during a heatwave (100 degrees farenhieght). Does the heat affect the growrh of the seedling? 5 of the 8 turned out to be runts. TIA for your answers.

if they fall over, give them some shade... if they stay standing, they are fine. The leaves will likely not look happy. Increase humidity if you can. don't want to cause microbial growth or burning of leaves as it evaporates and leaves solutes behind, either. shade them during most intense sun.
