Hi
@mrWhitePinkman! With autoflowering strains, I usually wait until the plant has developed 4 beautiful nodes, then I top at the 3rd node. Why do I cut 1 node under the last available node and loose a part of a plant? Because the recovery time will be dramatically increased, thanks to the development of the 3rd and 2nd and 1st nodes. Once the plant has recovered and the two new stems look healthy/strong, I prune the 2nd and 1st node because they generally produce popcorn buds (depending on the strain, and the plant's structure). I like the idea to re-drive the apical dominance and focus energy onto the two new main branches. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊
