Hey there Don Costro, so basically for drying you're trying to dry it for a long as possible. The more time a plant takes to dry the more i has basically been alive that whole time producing some very interesting molecules. Usually in your conditions, you should expect around one week. the best is two weeks, 10 days is common, some people even try to rehydrate it after the first week to make it go longer. Basically when you chop you should already know what is your drying environment. So if it's dry like yours up to 40RH so you should water the plant quite soon before the chop. Medium of up to 60RH then it less water before the chop and 60+ it should be quite dry. A lot of factors go into it. If you're brave one day you should look for the "bud washing technique" it's much superior for the cure and drying times and takes a lot of the variability away. Hope this helps ! šŸš€

@DonCostro , 60 degrees temp, and 60 % RH for 10-14 days. The lower the temp, the better the preservation of tricomes, terpenes, and flavonoids. Your stuff will smell and taste like hay if it dries too fast. Harvest the plant as a whole if you are worried about drying too fast, when the branches are cut individually, this quickens the process. Nice looking buds by the way šŸ‘ŠšŸ˜Ž

If you can dry for 24h at 50% RH then 24h at 55%RH then 1-4 days at 60% RH. When you bend the stem and it cracks, but does not break off they are ready to jar. When in the jar check daily. 70% +. Remove buds from jar and put in a paper bag for 1h 65-70 . Remove buds and bag for 10 min. 62-65. Remove buds from jar, add them back( or mix in jar ) so they are not sticking togeather. Let sit with lid off for 2 min. 58-62. Remove buds from jar, add them back or mix in jar then wave jar to quickly replace air and close. less then 58. leave jar sealed.

Hello.to.know.when it is.dry i take a bud and if it cracks it is the moment to put your harvest in jars. Otherwise you can take a bud and put it in a grinder and see how it is. If it is still too wet let it dry more and if not you can make your curing. Bye

I agree with Ojetepelon just wait until stems will crack. I would just try to increase a RHto 60% if possible. It will dry slower but the taste should be preserved

This is my trick. Bend a stem, if it dont go back to it shape is ok to put it in jars with a humidity tester, if it go up 65% open the jar 10 minutes 2-3 times a day till it stabilize. You can wait to others to reveal their secrets.
