Hi! If the plant is not stretching it could mean that your light is pretty close and the light intensity is more than enough for the plant so it wont have to stretch. There is nothing wrong with short and bushy plant but I suggest that you defoliate her a little bit so the air flow and light oenetration will be in a good levels.

probably a combination of genetics. light, and your environment. More Blue spectrum will promote tighter internodes, while reds promote more stretching. A Michigan State University study discovered how day and night temperature differences regulate plant growth. It shows that keeping daytime temps lower than nighttime temps, made plants have lower internodal length. Keeping daytime temps higher than nighttime temps, caused stems to grow longer. Good luck!

My guess is your lights are pretty powerful. Raise um up a bit. I had mine to low when I first started and they did the same stuff. Check out my diary. I just raised mine like another 8 inch or so and boom she took off. Happy growing!
