lowering Water pH

please does anybody know the easiest and simple way to lower the ph in water? i would use them to watering on my soil plant. my filter RO water is in ph 8.5. some said they would use the citric acid to lower the ph, does it would affect the microorganism and nutrient in soils?

citric acid has always worked well for me my ph also around 8.0, i ph my water everytime i water and never had a problem. Its very cheap aswell dont buy the branded ph up or down you will get way more for your money if you but citric acid granules .👍

I think you can buy blended sulfuric acid (battery acid) from ahrdware store and thats really good pH down. Phosphoric acid that's used as pH down in homebrewing should be also easily obtainable pretty cheap and it's safer to use than sulfuric acid. Many pH - products are phosphoric acid

And yes, if your pH is too low or too high, it will block the plant from absorbing nutrients, even if they are present.

You can use a ph down solution or just white vinegar 😉to lower your ph to 6.5
