How close to harvest? Trichomes

Growing 2 strains. GSC(1st pic) is much smaller and less dense buds, but trichomes look mostly amber. Is this good time to harvest the GSC? Also the Motorbreath(2nd pic) is less amber, is it too early to harvest? Thanks

The motor breath is definitely too early to harvest based off that shot. As Norcal said, you should snap some bud shots that show more trichs so you can do a better analysis. Certain parts of the bud are more likely to have amber trichs vs milky, especially parts that are closest to the light.
Be patient! She will tell you when she is ready!

It's hard to tell from such a macro photo. You really need to inspect the bud in it's entirety. Look for 20-30% amber covering for a imo perfect time to harvest! Happy Harvesting! 👊

Is this the beginning of flowering?Today I spotted some white hair at the top of my auto orange bud… Ist this the beginning of flowering? Just after 18 days after germination? I had hoped that the plant grows bigger for at least another 1-2 weeks..

18 weeks, but I'm not sure she's ready.The plant is 18wks old. Leaves are getting yellow, some buds are so fat the branches bend under the weight.
I'm worried some pistons are still white and I can still see some clear trichoms, but she's 3 weeks after the recommended date of harvesting.

What do you guys think?It's my first grow (automatic, 6 weeks old) and compared to other plants, my plant looks a bit small/ridiculous. I give her 24/7 light (I read that on guides) is that maybe too much? What's your impression of her? I use two growlights (one from above and one from the side).
