Remove Hermied Plant?

Wildgrass
Wildgrassstarted grow question 4 years ago
One of my plants hermied. Do I keep pinching pollen sacs or remove the plant completely and try to save the other two? The hermie plant is the smallest of three. Pollen sacs are fairly developed and have dropped visible pollen on leaves. I pinched them all off as seen in photo.

Hi there! I got few balls on my current grow and if I would have noticed them earlier I would have probably cut the whole thing down. I noticed the opened sacks only until I first saw seeds developing so I decided to ride the hermie out. That one did not produce anymore new ones after i plucked the old ones off BUT There is a big chance still that hermied plant will produce sacks/nanners through the whole flowering. You have to make a choice now.. If you can figure why she hermied, it could help you determine can it happen again and how likely is that. She might not do anymore balls at all or she might tease you the whole flowering and you could end up with lots of seeds in your buds and if there is too much seeds the bud production will be much smaller, or so I've read 'cos the plant dont have to produce anymore flowers. Female cannbis plants only purpose is to produce flowers that catch pollen so she can make seeds so if no pollen is catched she will produce more and more flowers but if there is enough pollen she will stop producing more flowers but use it's energy for the seed production.

Get it out. If it’s sacs man the amount of seed that can come in the bud will ruin the crop. You might just save it if your quick enough although your probably all ready gonna have some seeds. That really sucks but hopefully you’ll catch the hermie earlier before this happens. Try to save what you can and get it out.

@Wildgrass Hi mate remove it immediately but you know if you have fans running in the tent and you have seen pollen then the damage has probably already been done .

If you have sacs, not just nanners, definitely get it out of there.. chances are you won't catch all of them.. toss a plastic trash bag over it, tie it at bottom and carefully remove.
