Couple of questions around defoliation, I intend to flip to flower this weekend: 1. Should I defoliate 2. What should I defoliate (Big fan leaves etc) 3. How many hours of darkness before 12/12? They are 5 weeks in 10L soil pots

Hey! Considering that the main function of defoliation before 12/12 switch is to give light to the buds sites forming, that way you'll have more and bigger bud sites. Defoliation 3 weeks after 12/12 switch is to give light to buds and fatten them up. 😃💪 Personally I like to remove 20% of which are usually only the largest leaves that give the most shade, I remove them from top to bottom in that order. Defoliation is usually just removing fan leaves and not bud sites but I like to remove the bottom first and second, sometimes third as well. Only when I see that the plant is growing a lot and the light won't penetrate to the bottom, resulting in small, airy buds. Anything do not hesitate to ask. Girls are looking great!! Good luck and Happy Growing! 😃 🌱 🌿 🌲

go take a look at my diary to know when to lollipop and how much to defoliate on your plants It should give you a good timeline and pictures on how much to do. as for the flip just do it straight to 12:12 there's no reason for additional darkness. Happy growing! 🤟😜

I wouldn't do anything yet. Maybe a few large fan leaves that block the light. And as for the cycle, i would start with 12 hours of darkness and then 12 hours of light. I did it with my flowers anyway and everything is fine.
