High alkalinity of water, is it a problem when growing?

Is high alkalinity (cca 240 mg/l) a problem if the ppm is normal (cca 250mg/l)? I know that high alkalinity makes for high pH, but does it do anything else, like will it hurt my plant? Btw, I used strips to check it, not an actual meter.

If the issue is acidity, then alkaline pH will show in the plant's complete discomfort and a lack of all elements. The plant will be pale and twisted, will suffer from necrosis and dying, and as a result, it will perish! I recommend using a digital pH meter to determine acidity. You'll get tired of struggling with strips. The price for a digital one is ($10), but I recommend calibrating the device every time before mixing the solution! 👌😇👍 Good luck, bro!

It will end up locking out certain nutrient uptake if left unchecked. Just get some pH down. Why take the risk.👊
