Lights are where all the magic happens and I can't confidential pick out a light for you without knowing your grow space.. Your objectives?? Do you want weight? Do you want to grow many plants or just a few? What is the size of the available space. Soo many questions :).

There are too many considerations to discuss when properly suggesting a grow setup. If you have access to clean and well priced water.. Hydroponics can be a very effective growing medium as growing with water can produce results very quickly... Coco coir is much more advanced but can perform at a level like hydroponics. Soil is a great starter medium if you want to have plants you can kind of modestly care for as growth rates and such don't really require you to be on your numbers as much ie. Ph is less important in soil..

I'm a newbie on the site but not when it comes to growing. If this is your first go at it I would get soil because it's more forgiving with mistakes. Pot size can go from 2 gallon and up depending on the room your working with. As far as the light to veg the plants go to walmart and buy a 20 dollar led shop light, they work great for vegging a plant. When it comes time to flower the plant get a quality light. Mars hydro makes a good one and so do other brands in that price range, you will want a 600w to 1000w light. The more they have the bigger the yeilds. As far as nutrients go general hydroponics or fox farm make good budget friendly nutrients. Hope this helps.
