Depends on efficacy of lights and if you want option to do photoperiods. autoflowers will be anywhre from 22watts/sq ft to closer to 30watts/sq ft depending on efficacy of the light. with photos yuo need 30-32watts/sq ft to 40+ watts/sq ft DLI is a bter measurement to get familiar with. You want to be somehwere around 35-40 DLI with ambient co2. Daily light integral. wiki page is sufficient to learn. You don't have to memorize the math to ge the gist of it. 10w in a 2.3 x 2.3 woulddn't be so bad.. you can figure some equipment may take up space and adjusting hanging distance to properly focuse all of your light where it will hit the most canopy will probably work out very well. If it's a highly efficeint light you'll be up near 35-40dli over 18hours of operation and with less efficeint lights you mgiht be closer to 30 DLI. Well formed buds start aroudn 23-25DLI, for a point of reference. You get better yield with more DLI and greater proportion of good nugs vs larfier nugs. 300w in a 2.3x2.3 area would be insane. if the plants do tolerate it, it's only b ecause tehy adapted to it.. they can still only process 35-40DLI in ambient co2 conditions.. simply cannot fabricate carbon otherwise.

If you grow on an expert level, more space means more outcome, as you are able to fill all the space available with homogeneous bunch of buds, using various techniques... I think for 4 plants you need at least a 90x90 grow tent or even better a 60x120...

You want 30-50watts per square foot. So you either get a light for your tent or a tent for your light. Then fit plants in. Or Decide on plants and then get tent and light to fit plants. Ideally you want 1.5-2 square feet per plant So for four plants you'd want 3x3-4x4 foot tent and a 300-800w light. If 100w light I'd suggest 2x2 tent but only 1-2 plants maybe 3 or 4 if you know they will be small. Autos are unpredictable. Try 2 and use a scrig net to fill the

If your doing 4 autos and not in massive pots then that size tent will be fine. Lights for that size can be upto 300w, you will probably have to dim it to about 150w, so If you buy an overpowered light make sure it has a dimmer.
