1) Drying in a shed outside [gets very hot middays and low hum and low airflow] 2) Drying in a cupboard outside [also hot with sun hitting it directly but much much smaller than the shed] 3) Drying in an inside cupboard [which will make my room stink but with stable conditions]

I dry in a closet indoors. Honestly once it's in there the smell stays there. It's the trimming in the house that really reeks it up. Cheers friend

There are two important factors you have to take into account first of all The Light you want to try to protect the trichomes from it because of light or direct sunlight does destroy and affect trichomes so you want to protect them from the direct sunlight or any light in the beginning of the drying process affected in any way . the second most important thing you have to consider it as humidity whatever you can control light and humidity even if your temperatures are high you should be just fine to dry them out .if you cannot control humidity then try to use one of those Home Depot bags and put the plans upside down in it and try to give or create a dark dry environment with the bag and you should be just fine. Hope this tip helps you out congratulation for your upcoming harvest.

Honestly my drying method goes as: 8h of direct full sun drying outside, followed by 3 days of dark cold room with ventilation drying, then another 3h of full sun drying and then more 3 days of dark cold room drying. They say light destroys the thc but its only a valid point if you are going to leave it under strong lights for a long period of time as it only affects the thc over long periods of time. I find this method to open pores on the buds as the bud is still trying to be photosyntetically active at the same time that it brings the thc to a good temperature (in my area its ranging from 34 to 40°C air temps) so it can melt slightly and be absorved by the plant material. The dark cold room drying after sun drying sessions make it chill and get hardened making for some sweet candy like feel, it breaks well, smokes perfectly, and for some reason being in the sun at that end phase makes the flavours come out even stronger, probably due to the heat/wind/light combo sucking the juices from the stem to the bud with higher force preserving the flavours and taste that will come out after as you smoke it. I recomend you try this with at least 1 branch so at least YOU KNOW if you like it or not, its always better than just assuming and ending up missing on a oportunity to discover something you actually like better. If its not for your taste buds or you feel you are losing anything then you can just keep on doing it the way you do it. Happy drying growmie. And remember outdoor plants don't flower thcless even tho they live under the sun.

3 assuming that you can control the RH. The very hot temps will kill your trichomes and could also cause it to dry out too fast, ruining terpene development. 1 would be the next choice. While similar to 2, drying number 2 style could cause RH buildup in the cupboard. Throw in the hot temps and you got perfect mold conditions.
