Spongy bud when drying

60 rh is a little high, but your bud looks fine.

Hello. I wet trim my buds and hang them on a line for 3 days to lose some moisture. I then cut the buds off the branch into a paper bag. If you hold the gas of the drying buds around the drying buds it cancels out the bitterness of a uncured bud. I put about 2 to 3 inches of buds in each bag. leave the bags alone (NO PEEKING) for a week, then check. If there is less that 2 or 3 inches of buds in the bag, it will dry a couple of days earlier. I don't know about you but I like my buds a little dryer than 58 to 62%. I like to hear a small crunch when I put the buds in my pipe or grinder and with wet buds I just get a water vaper toke the first puff. The wetter buds are also harder to light and more apt to canoe. Hi I know it’ll take more than a day but I’m wondering if it is Normal for this stage, doesn’t seem right for it to be a spongy ball, but maybe it is while it sweats. First timer as I said and just want to avoid it happening when I dry the actual plant if its not normal. Thanks!

its going to take more than a day to dry. Perfectly dried buds will have a moisture content of 58-62% and will have some give when you squeeze em. If a bud crunches when you squeeze it, its too dry.

Hi Do you have a hygrometer? The room should be about 50% humidity
