Very close! You definitely want some amber trichomes. This is a sign that the plant is breaking down THC into other cannabinoids. You may think that this is bad and you want the highest THC content possible. While that is ideal for medical purposes, recreational users really enjoy the different effects of these other cannabinoids. Recreational users would think your flower is weak without them even if your THC is over 20%.

Heya Jhort! Trichromes are the best way to judge and depending what you want out of it will depend when to chop. Milky trichs will produce more of a head high while around 30% will produce a more couch lock smoke. You can meet both in the middle as well for a little of both. I like judging from trichs as I have had trichs ready on some plants with 10% white pistils and some with 30% white still. Cheers and enjoy your harvest!

At this point I believe it is all about preference, it’s not going to get any bigger than it is but it will take on more of a narcotic effect the longer that you wait and may have a harsher smoke. You have a 10 to 15 day window of harvest time, I prefer to hit the beginning of the window for taste and affect. Flush !!
