It is all about genetics, nothing can cause a plant to produce more trichomes/THC than it is genetically programmed to do so. All we as cultivators can do is provide the best environment possible and nurture the plant to be as healthy as possible, so it can express those genetics to the best of its ability. Obviously, lighting and nutrition are the two key areas to concentrate on. I am a big fan of fulvic acid, humic acid and amino acids as plant stimulators to increase health and vitality. Mycorrhizae from the time you plant your seedlings are also extremely beneficial, but it is too late in flower to start with them if you never added it to your substrate previously.

There isn't a magic formula to increase trichome production, to achieve this you need a combination of different elements. Things like genetics, an optimal growing environment, adequate full-spectrum lights, and good quality nutrients at the right time will result in more resinous buds. There are a number of supplements intended for increasing trichome and terpene production, although they don’t do miracles, they will provide more of the nutrients your plant needs in the last weeks of the flowering stage. Supplements can provide a more specific mix of macro and micronutrients for the final weeks of the flowering stage when the plant is producing more trichomes.
