What is causing the buds to corkscrew?

1st time grower, curious as to why the bud is forming like this. Is it genetics or me moving the plant to much? The buds on this plant are just not as uniform as the 2nd plant.

that would be genetics, or strain, i have had a few to do that but still smoked good, they look good man with or with out cork screw

am i peaking to early or is the amount of trichomes this early in flower a good sign?my question is not problem related, rather than curiosity based. the girl in question has in my opinion, a lot of trichomes for day 32 of flower. fyi, i started counting days of flower by the first visible pistils during 12/12 schedule. is my abundance of tri's strictly genetic?

Do these buds look ok?I found a light leak 2 weeks ago and fixed it I thought, however, I pulled what appears to be a seed pod off a lower branch. The buds seem to have started growing again, not sure if that's a sign of trouble too. Already ditched her sister because I saw all the male flowers.

How much longer do you think?PE leaves are losing color at this point, she’s getting closer. Not sure how much longer to let this one go. Day 57. Online recommended harvest date says day 55-65. Trichomes appear mostly cloudy to me already but she’s shooting new white pistils daily. Thoughts on 10-14 days?

Airy buds after dryingFor some big ass buds, they dried down a ton. There isn’t much there as far as weight. Can you think of any reasons why the buds would feel quite dense wet, but now that they’re dry they are very airy. 👎🏻Dried 6 days 70 F RH 50%, light air circ and exhaust fan running.

White pistols just keep showing upI'm growing a freebie gumball autoflower plant she is now 130 days and just keeps popping new pistols (all over the plant) . Just ordered a 150W Quantum Board, can I swap my Blurple UFO mid grow to the new board? Is it possible to increase flower size this late into a grow?My Blurple apparently uses 230W actual draw but is advertised as 600W. If that 230W value is correct, does that suggest my new, much more expensive QB is not as good? Will it make a difference to the plants health? What are the benefits from the QB? Thanks!4 years ago

I have 3 plants and one of them ( I think its gelato) it’s giving me low buds and the pistils are starting to color brown, I’m on 6 week of flower, do you think it’s not going to grow more?
I think it’s because of the genetic but can be another thing.

Amber trichomes at day 50. Not sure how long to let it go before it starts to degrade.My Cosmic Gold is a Mephisto cross of 2 strains that are supposed to go 65-70 days each. I accidently stressed it, stunted it and it started flowering a little early. It's now day 50 and I can see amber trichomes at the top. Mostly milky lower.
