Am I correct in diagnosing this as Calcium deficiency in the Black Sugar? I gave a basic compost tea yesterday. What else can I do to ensure she makes it through harvest?

Hi @NullHypothesis! You are right, it looks like a Calcium deficiency. The weird thing is that this deficiency only shows up onto new leaves, whereas you seem to be having issues with old leaves. Now the big question is: what could have led to this situation? Have you been giving some extra cal+mag during the growth? Your pH looks fine, are you using RO water? Could it be a potassium abuse, making the rootzone unable to handle calcium intakes anymore? You can add some cal-mag or epsom-salt into your next feedings, it's probably a bit late because the deficiency has been there for a while, but it worth a try, Happy growing π

Hello ! Yes the rust spots and the light green colour between dark veins makes me conclude the same thing. Your compost tea is a good idea only if it provide enough Cal or it will be like a regular feeding. Maybe some bone meal coup be a good idea to get rid of it if you wanna keep it organic or lime ( I don't know if lime is organic ). I hope it will help you πβοΈπΌ

Why does my bottom leaf have brownish white tip and is cripsy?Was checking leaf temps all over and at the very bottom first 3 point fan leaf that she ever grew I noticed the center leaf crispy at the tip with some light green spots around it. Cat piss? Not the strain....So I've been having these brown spots, thinking bugs or aphids or.... but I spotted a neighborhood cat around our yard today, marking its territory elsewhere on the yard.
