I am new to the growing community and so far in getting the hang of it. But I wanted to know where I cut or top on my cannabis plant. It’s week 7 and the plant is splurging with leaves.

i used to grow monstrous bushes and topped just whre it was needed to fill space better or more evenly. nowadays, i'm looking for a certain number of vertical shoots and smaller, but greater quantity of plants. You top or LST to get there and let the plant go their merry way. removing leaves should be for a specifc reason. A shoot you care about should get light or it will stretch... sometimes you want it to stretch a bit before giving it light, too. Depends on where you plan out its future position. Don't remove too many from a small stretch of nodes. Don't remove more than 33% of the plant. If you always have a reason for what you remove, you're less likley to overdo it.

With topping, you remove the newest growth on the main stem or a branch, with fimming, you cut off the upper half of the new growth. It's best to google "where to top cannabis" for some images to get a better idea of what your looking for on your own plants. Plants looks great man and healthy!

You want to cut it half way down on the new top shout. Not on the steam. Check out my Purple Kush plants, I just topped them. Hope this helps.

I'd probably cut the 2 sets of giant fan leaves it have, so light have a more direct line to the smaller leaves below. - First picture, right and left side. And the bottom ones. I'd probably leave the top ones for a while, at least until she's healed up from losing two sets of leaves, and have set a couple of extra nodes above. She looks like you've been doing a great job taking care of her. Keep that up.. I recommend Light Stress Training, rather than topping, since you're just starting out tho. Google will give you the answers on how to do it and get good results. ^_^

Its up to you really, people use all sorts of different techniques. I personally am in the camp of leaving everything unless there are signs of disease, you are worried about mold and need to increase airflow, or the leaves are actually dead. Cutting/topping is different from removing leaves, and I suggest looking into leaf removal and topping quite a bit before doing either of them.
