take whatever the breeder says about how long it takes and throw it out the window :P
Keep eye on the trichomes as that is directly tied to degradation of the active ingredient. You can read the 1001 opinions on when you should harvest on google.
but, any of those suggestions are considering all incpection locales... so, you should inspect multiple top colas, multipl mid-depth areas of what you consider your best nugs or what makes up the bulk of your harvest etc etc. Techniques employed as well as opinion will make this vary greatly... but inspect where you like your nugs... make sure they turn X% amber before chopping down.
Test out early,middle and late harvest suggestions.. figure out what you like. don't rely on descriptions as you may feel differently with same chemicals coursing through your veins than others.
