How do you measure your plants correctly?
RadDad
started grow question 5y ago
When measuring the height of a plant do you measure from soil to top of canopy or is it the length of the main stem? MIne are trained sideways.😎

You're measuring from soil to top of canopy, otherwise that measurement doesn't mean much 🌱👍

from the base of the plant disregarding the pots lol I wouldn't measure it from the floor including the pot lol thats just cheating haha 👊 I would mesure how high your side branching gets in this case lol

HOT as a MOFO ;) Need advice please.
I've been struggling with high temps (88-90F) during the day mid 80's at night. It's been difficult to find a cooling system in stock that meets my needs. If I'm unable to bring the temp down below 85F what is the most ideal humidity for my plants, what are expected issues? TY :)

Maintaining the soil pH
I give pH'ed water, never more than 800ppm and I still always end up with lockouts. I used to not give water untill runoff but now I do. What to do after testing the runoff? It's currently at 6.0 even after a flush with 7.2. Ask many questions I need to know what I'm doing wrong.

The main stem of one of the Gorilla's had to be bent down. I have noticed that the buds seem abit small for the age and that her main stem is really bendy. Is it abit early to tell if they will get bigger with time or is it because of the stress?

Flushing 4 weeks out?
Do i start flushing at the start of the 5th week of flower? Im using slow release dry amendments (top dressings). I heard that you have to start flushing these types of nutrients out a bit earlier than you would with salt based nutrients. Is this true?

not straight leaves ?
I’m not sure if this is a problem but my she is 3 weeks old and her leaves aren’t seem to be very straight, curling on the sides. I’ve heard it could be something to do with the humidity being high. Is it a problem or do most plants do this :)

Hi, is it normal to be hollow in the middle?
I decided to top the plant and place the cut in a clone dome to try to reveal gender faster (12/12 cycle). But i notice its hollow in the middle, is this normal? Plant is very healthy beside that. Stems is very strong.

Are they ready?
Hello guys! So what do you think are they ready to harvest the next week? I couldn't check the trichomes yet but the all of the hairs are oranged so that's why I think they are good to go. Tell me what you think, how much time do they have. When should I start flushing. Thanks

No smell before harvesting the plants
Some plants will be harvested tomorrow. I remarked that the smell is not as strong as a few weeks ago. I smelled them at the beginning of the run, so heat was not at the maximal point. What could it be: heat? fertilization (plants ready to harvest are not yellow but nice green)?

Flowering nutrients - BioBloom, Top Max, Alg-a-Mic - from when on?
From when on do you start giving this nutrients? I'm considering to start Thursday, beginning of week. She looks ready for it, and I believe it'll be favorable for her growth in this stretching stage. Also considered to just increase the amount of the veg nuts. What would you do?
