It is been 8 days from seed now and I have noticed "tiny white hairs" on my soil, I assume a type of soil mildew? Is this something to be concerned about? or is my microbiology on the soil good?

Hey there matute ! Congrats on your first grow ! So basically what I can see from zooming in on your pics is that those "white hairs" are part of the soil itself there are either broken down roots or plant fibers that are mixed in . This is good for the soil, they let in air which the roots need to live, make the soil dry faster which is actually a good thing , and when they break down they will release nutrients which the plant needs. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Hi, you using 2 ifferent medium=? one loos like soil and the other like cococoir. And having some fibres in the soil is totally ok. In my opinion a good prefertilised soil is the basic of a good grow. Saving here is the wrong end. Iam using for seedlings Biobizz or plagron soil. Thgen you dont have to worry about feeding and ph for weeks. In my diary " cookies for me" you can find eay reciepes for soilmixing by your own. Until then i recommend you to buy a " good" slightly prefertilised, fluffy soil. For more questions feel free to ask me
