There was previoously aArticle on the RQS -Blog about Foxtailing.....
In my grow Ice ice baby I had it too
The buds were forming " Plateaus, and then Soikes,,,, the Buds were looking like " Saurons Tower"
but Plants looked fine and I had no hermies
Buds that foxtail are not exactly detrimental, but they are not exactly beneficial either. ... “Bad” fox tailing involves the occurrence of foxtails due to heat and/or light stress. This often manifests in calyces that form spires and make the bud look quite odd. However, fox tailing is not always an abnormality. If the fox tailing was caused by genetics then there will no bad effect on the plant if this was caused by light stress then it could lower the potency of your bud. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember " Happy Growing and Free your mind one puff at a time ".
Hi there!
Foxtailing can happen if there is too much heat or light BUT some strains have that in their genes, so if you know your environment is not an issue then its just the strain.
The foxtailed part is really airy and larfy so it does not bring that much to the final yield.
