[VEG] Autoflowering, too much water?

VladImpaler
VladImpalerstarted grow question 5y ago
Did I fuck up? I feel like the stem is too long and thin, and the plants aren't growing as they should be. I've watered them twice in 4 days, with 1,5L and then 0,5L of water (was it too much for autos?). Lights are at 40cm. PH of water/soil is 6.5. 18/6 light cycle.

I would say that is to much water at this stage. Let the pots dry rite out before watering again and only water around the seedling a little bit, just enough to soak the soil around the newly growing roots. As the plant grows you can add more and more water accordingly. The roots will grow to the water so try to little water will also stunt your plants growth. You gotta find that middle sweet spot. At this point you want the soil to dry in about 24hrs, so if the soil is still wet 24hrs after watering let it dry more and give a little less water next time. If you flood the pot every time you water at this point with a 1.5L of water the soil will get soggy because there are no roots yet to drink up the water. You will ultimately drown your plants this way. And I use just strait PH 6.0 water at this stage until they are at least a week old before I start feeding them very small amounts of nutrients if needed, but your soil may have nutrients already in it for starting too.
