Cloning advice. Why do I always kill these things?

Hey guys, first time cloning and I'm not sure if I'm correct. Clonex gel, small cuttings (gift). Slapped them into riot rooters and sprayed them with RO water in a propagation kit. Just not sure how often I spray or if the heat pad is to hot, do they even need light? Thanks!

Cut around 45 degrees, Trim and branches leave some fan leaves, Put it in the grow medium, Spray with ph’d nutrient water(foliage feeding) at a low percentage +/-75% Close the dome Close the Dome’s air intake windows. Keep the light close to the dome. Keep the dome moist with feeding mixture. Open the dome skylight As the plant stars to look healthy(don't open completely unless plants is well established) Happy cloning!!!!
