Adventitious roots on clonestems

Clones aer 1 week old, grew a lot, time to transplant soon, can't find adventitious roots on the sems under the soil, was going to transplant them deeper, for height management and even canopy, any1 got experience with that, or should I top them to the same height, thoughts??

I clone in cubes(Rapid Rooters) or rockwool instead of directly in soil, so seeing roots isn't hard for me. I wouldn't go digging for roots though, it's easy to damage them. If you give a cutting a gentle pull and you meet resistance then it's probably started rooting. If they're growing they've rooted. Your clones don't have a ton of floor room to bury them down real far, you want some space for airflow, etc. It's probably best to top them.

I agree with Scrubbyjimbob, don't dig or move it around to much will be hurting them little roots. I clone out in a glass of water till I see warts on the stems. These warts will be future root sites, I then place it into the medium in a small pot. and let it go.
