I have 2 seeds in hydro and 2 in soil. Now I started the seedlings in rock wool under CFL because I have a couple of plant into my grow room in bloom stage

Hi, The leaves of my 11 days old are a little but curly, I suspect it is related to to much light, Did anyone experienced the same issue?

Yes, I had this issue as well, she grew up big and healthy anyway. The first couple leaves often come out weird. In my case, I believe it was because I added nutes to my DWC too soon. I've since learned to wait until the cotyledons begin yellowing before I add nutes.

You can see the difference between hydro and soil, they have the same number of nodes but the ones in hydro are way bigger.I am using Happy Frog on top and Ocean Forest at the bottom. (Update) Those plants are growing like crazy compared to the ones I have in soil, now they have more nodes as well, I covered the buckets with foil to prevent light penetration, I will have to find a way to lower a bit the water temperature just in case I get root rot.

I notice that light might be coming through the bucket. Not sure if this could be a problem, I think I will be doing something to cover the bucket. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

Algae will defintely start gorwing over 90-100+ days.. or even a shorter run with an autoflower. That'll steal O2 and N at the least. Roots aren't a fan of light, either. if you have a swap out and clean system, this may not be a big deal, if cleaned often enough, but roots still don't like light and however that might impact your grow remains. Tape some aluminum foil around it? cardboard.. anything. spray paint the outside black might work?

I found a way to lower the water temperature without bee too shocky, I used a pumps a hose (will simulate a coil going into the plant's bucket) and an extra bucket with cold water, I have been testing it today and it maintains the temperature at 20°C without much fluctuation.

I added the small cooler with water with some ice packs, now the water will be below 20° for a longer period (around 2 days with the same ice pack), I also added a couple of sensors with the Raspberry Pi to check the humidity, temperature, light intensity and water temperature sensor

To me they are looking awesome, I don't think I will be using soil anymore, I didn't expect the will grow so fast, if those keep growing like that I will not have room

So far they are looking healthy, they are growing fast and I started seen pistils. I had to top up with more water with nutrients like 3 litres. Reducing a bit the nutrients because I am seeing the tip of the leaves have a bit of burning on day 46

Hi, I notice the some burning on the tips, I think it is related to nitrogen toxicity, it started happening during early flowering, I have been adding cal/mag & b52 and they also contains more nitrogen. I have been topping just plain water for the last week.Anyone had this issue?

You need to take the grow nutes out in flower and just use the flower nutes. Ph needs to be set at 6.2 or 6.3 Dutch nutrient formula is great for hydro grows or canna aqua. The real dark AN ph crap is really not the best. Your ec should be about 1.6 to 1.8. Dont add cal/mg unless you see they need it. Cheers

Changed the reserve of water I lowered the nutrients that contains nitrogen because I have been experiencing a bit of nutrient toxicity, hopefully it will stop the burning. Update: I just got a TDS today and after changing the reserve of water the measure was 1300ppm, I just could imaging how it was before, may be over 1600ppm I guess this is one of the reasons of the burning tips as well with the nitrogen toxicity. Right now I have been topping just with PH water without nutes and I have it now at 1050ppm, I hope this mistake won't affect that much the bud development :( Update: I just lowered the PPM to 800 because the burning didn't stop Update end of the week: looks like the burning stops spreading, I will have to continue watching them to make sure it stays the same

Looks like the little burning stops spreading after lowering the water PPM, I am keeping it around 800. The bud development seems ok to me, I didn't have anything to compare (this is my first grow in hydro). The nutrients added are a bit lower than the one I wrote because I diluted a bit with water to lower a bit the PPM

I found no the ratios to get the TDS PPMs between 600 and 800. If I follow the bottle instructions the plants will get burn for sure, so let's see how it works now

I think I screwed up a bit with the nutrients, the water reserve dropped and the EC increased over 2.3 mS/cm, this created some burning non the leaves, I think the end result will be affected by it

Now I am checking the PH and the EC every day so the EC doesn't increase over 1.8 when the water level drops. Every week I learn something ;)

I think the crop has been affected by overfeeding when the water levels dropped, the buds are not too compact as I expected, lesson learned for next time

I didn't get that much yield and the buds were too fluffy do I decide to use all the buds and trim to do bubble hash, I really enjoyed the entire process.
