Can you please tell me if the sides need to be covered with earth?When I covered the soil in the beginning it wasn't like that, but after waterings the soil shrunk and now there is space between the pot fabric and the soil. Should I add more soil to avoid root problems? And also the water drains down there and quickly runs downhill 😞10mo ago

Why should the tap root grow for some days before potting?Not a problem, but I'm eager to learn: Most tutorials recommend to let the tap root grow to about 2.5 cm before potting. Does anybody have a rationale for that? To me this sounds counter-productive (light protection for roots, correct orientation of seed). What am I missing?Week 1

Feeding with dense roots?So I'm using 5 and 7 gallon pots and I'm using Gaia greens and some worm poo for my feed but once they start to take off into flower, all of my dry amendments build up on top bc of the roots. Dying plant1 plant is like dying, all have the same soil and get the same feeding. I think she dot a root problem but I'm not quite sure. (no smell and she is still drinking water)
Should I dump her and scrog the other 3 or should give her 1 more week?

Slow growth / not spreading out much / compact plant. What gives ? Should I attempt to defoliate to get more light in there / pump more nutes ?Any advice on making it grow faster ? I'm in the 7th week of veg and it's not as bushy as it should. Still growing, just slow. It doesn't seem to want to spread much horizontally / fan leaves are staying relatively small. water draining too fast - slow growthAlthough I spray water around the stem slowly, the water drainage was too fast, just spraying 20-30 ml of water and it drained right away in 2L (half a gal) pots - watered 100-150ml
