Dry and Liquid Organic Fertilizers

VeggieTales
VeggieTalesstarted grow question 4 years ago
Hello fellow growers I have been curious if anyone has used both liquid and dry fertilizer in their grow? I am growing in Coco and using a super coco mix with top dress and tea with dry fertilizer. If I add liquid fertilizer would this kill the living microbes in the coco?

you only want to supplement... super coco will take some trial and error based on how the plant reacts what you have to supplement. irrigate with some runoff only to ensure full saturation. dry pockets aren't good and will cause all sorts of issues. You want to minimize runoff in a super coco context. i'd stick to one brand's system of nutes... or make sure no nasty chemical reacitons occur if you do mix products. you could adversely impact pH which would wreak havoc on your microbes and nutrient availability etc etc.

Liquid nutes will definitely kill your soil and the beneficial microbes. All organic nutes will not hurt the soil or your microbial benefials. Top dress it, and water it in. I use worms to distribute and break down nutes.
