Hi there, Seedlings are always stretched about 1~2inches in their first few days regardless of light and light distance. After that they stop stretching and beccome normal. If they are continue stretching (mostly between nodes)you need to consider to lower down your light.I am always a fan of using low watts CFL or LED for young seedling. You can get your light near the seedling without harming them and they will never stretch under those lights.Happy growing... ✌️

Hi Tarquin! A cannabis seedling will tell you its optimal distance from the lamp by the way it positions itself after emerging from the soil. If it starts to stretch for the light, you must lower the light. Wait for a few hours and see how it reacts. Did it stretch? Lower your lamp. Read all about mastering the cannabis seedling stage here: https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog-rookie-guide-3-steps-to-master-the-seedling-stage-n239 Good luck with your project, I wish you all the best! 👽

Hard to tell size -- the stem is not pale and weak, so should be okay. Looks fine. All you can do is water and wait... water and wait... wet-dry cycle. top 1"dries or feels light, water again... how you fertilize will depend on soilless or soil substrate... first 10-14 days are powered by the seed. make sure you irrigate a column all the way down, if the plant is still a bit undersized for pot. As it dries, you want roots growing down, not out superficially in substrate. otherwise, ensure the entirity of substrate gets wet... all this means is longer between waterings when young... low maintenance is a good thing. As the plant grows, you add the same amount of water but water sooner. maintain wet-dry cycle.
