Sometimes seeds do take up to a week to crack open. It has probably used a lot of its energy cracking open But since your seed already has a root it will definitely grow. This seed might take a few extra days to grow its main tap root. But once the seed sprouts and starts producing its own energy it will grow like a normal plant. Give it time and patience. The seedling stage is the worst for my patience as well. Go ahead and place it in soil. Give the tap root a faster time to decide which direction is down and it'll pop up the fastest this way. No need to let it grow further and lose more energy in the napkin.

In sommige gevallen kan het tot wel 2 weken op zich laten wachten. Dat zijn uitzonderingen, maar wat ik wil zeggen, heb geduld en laat de natuur zijn werk doen😉 Als een bepaalde methode niet goed werkt bij jou, probeer je wat anders. Hou ze intussen goed vochtig en lekker warm. Veel succes met groeien! 🌱

Sometimes they stall and never start up again, crack the shell and bang, that's it. If paper towel doesn't work out for you, try just leaving them in a glass of water in a dark place for up to 72 hrs until the tap root shows( about 1/2 inch), always works for me.

Hi! It took a long time, but your seed is open and have a root, so she's ready to go "one inch under". ^^ Try to add a bit of H₂O₂ 3% food grade to your water next time : it's help the shell to soften and crack a bit earlier, and also feed the root with oxygen.

Is growth normally this slow for seedlings? Any advice appreciated.These 3 seeds (of 12) germinated March 19-21; I transferred them to coco coir/perlite soil under 40W full-spectrum grow lights I also use for garden vegetable seedlings.
