you wanna put her in the growing medium with the tap root down. Regardless of whether its curled around of whatever have you... about 1/4 inch or so in the soil cover. Then add a generous amount of water(with plenty of drainage) and wait. No need for fans. Or to put her under a light until she emerges.. Once the little lady pops up and out of the grow medium then she'll wanna put under light right away. 18-6 is a nice cycle with lots of growing time and a rest period to give your lights and your plants a bit of a break. With an sf 1000 I'd put the light at 18-24" properly on the 24" side for your first grow to see how things pan out. Flowering is different but you wanna eventually have the light around 12-16" from the canopy to achieve optimal growth outputs. Not all plants are the same.. But given Cannabis generally loves light and lower amounts of light equals slower growth and lower output. The distance of the light to the plant has a very large relationship to how it grows and ultimately how much you have on the scales at the end. Good luck and happy growing!
My motto when germinating is, make it as simple as possible. I pop seeds directly in the final pot and water them gently, they pop out in 3 days in 90% of the time.
