Humates are natural and should not affect the living soil in any way.
I have been using soluble humates and fulvic acids in my own version of a "living soil" (with close to 30 ingredients) for decades and recommend them highly.
I only know about liquid types and expect any products that you might buy will have full instructions as to how to use them.
Use them with confidence, your plants will love them!
